About the role
In this position, you will oversee daily warehouse operations across the warehouse on an afternoon shift schedule (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm) and assist with general warehouse floor operations including pick-packing and general forklift operations. This role is vital in ensuring our essential health and wellbeing products are accurately processed, packed, and delivered efficiently to our customers.
What you will do
- Warehouse & Workflow Supervision: Oversee afternoon shift operations, task allocation, and workflow across all warehouse zones, stepping in hands-on across receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and forklift operation when needed.
- KPI Monitoring & Operational Reporting: Compile, assess, and report on daily/weekly KPIs & take ownership of the team performance on the afternoon shift.
- Systems & Business Improvement: Effectively utilise computerised warehouse and management systems (WMS, MS Word, MS Excel), train team members on system protocols, and recommend process or technology improvements.
- OHS, Quality & Product Recalls: Champion workplace safety compliance, report hazards/incidents, conduct regular safety checks/drills, participate in audits, and assist in managing product and stock changes as our catalogue grows and changes.
About you
You are a supportive, hands-on, and safety-focused supervisor or team leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and takes pride in leading team success.
- Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations with prior supervisor or team leadership exposure, ideally within a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Licences & Qualifications: Current Forklift Licence with demonstrated experience operating reach forklifts.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach staff, address performance constructively, and communicate effectively across internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Technical & System Skills: Proficient in warehouse management systems and MS Office (Excel/Word), with strong capability in KPI tracking, data assessment, and reporting.
- Quality & Safety Focus: Strong knowledge of WH&S legislation, quality measures, audit procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Flexibility: Availability to work reasonable additional hours during peak periods (such as month/year end) and travel to other sites or training as required.
