About the role
The Warehouse Operator & Sales role is a Full-time position, based at our new Direk, SA Trade Centre. Reporting to the Store Manager you will join our Gyprock Trade Centre delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the store and warehouse.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
- Assist customers with product selection and orders
- Process sales, invoices and payments
- Build strong relationships with trade customers
- Coordinate customer collections and deliveries
- Assist with stock control and warehouse activities
- Operate a forklift and undertake loading/unloading duties
- Maintain a safe and organised workplace
Working Hours
Enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with rostered hours between 6:30am and 4:00pm, allowing for early afternoon finishes and a great work-life balance. Employees may also have the opportunity to work an additional 1 to 1.5 hours of overtime per day, with all hours worked beyond the standard 38-hour week paid at applicable overtime rates, providing a great opportunity to increase weekly earnings when business needs arise.
What we're looking for
- Strong customer service experience
- Experience in retail, trade supplies, hardware, automotive parts or similar industries
- Good communication and computer skills
- A valid forklift licence and relevant operating experience are essential.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks when required
