A usual day at ThyssenKrupp would be general servicing which involved: Safety checks (doors, emergency phone, brakes, alarms, guards and overall ride quality.), Ride Quality, checking relays all pull in and pull out, if a call was put through we would arrive and check all fault codes and make sure that if it was an electrical fault that all relays involved where checked thoroughly.

I learned many things at the company including: fault finding using electrical blueprints, how lifts operate on the electrical and mechanical side, the safety features involved in a lifts operations etc.

The people I met at ThyssenKrupp are great people to work with, they truly make the company. If i needed help it was there and when I was stuck they made sure i knew what to do.

The hardest part of the job was fault finding becuase in a lift many things can go wrong and when one fault occurs electrically many follow. But this also made the job very interesting and enjoyable once you have found the fault.

The most enjoyable part of ThyssenKrupp was the people and the feeling when you get a call because each call to a different building is different.

Typical Day at work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Good company to work in elevator industries. Good Pay and Benefits.
Good  staff and they are always to help you and look after each others.
Good Management.
Hardest part of the job is Escalator Servicing, Repair and Fault finding.
Enjoyable Part of job is Field Servicing and preventive maintenance as well as repairing work with other team members

Good company to work for but Australian operation is small compared to overseas. The backup from Head Office was not consistent as the backup was not there. consistent.

Starting a job and finishing a job gave great satisfaction. Building Stackers, Ship Loaders and  Re-claimers  in the mining Construction is good experience. Good group of team members and management

Having worked there for several years over last 16 years, am comfortable in environment but morale there is all time low due to drastic downturn in work & future work.

A very interested place to work, not just because the working environment but is only one of the few places were you become part of a team to build some of the largest machines been made.

Workplace Culture, the hardest part of the company is not given a proper contract. Learning the balance machines mechanics and electrical systems. very well organised company to work with.

I worked there for 14 years.
Generally a good bunch of guys to work with.
A wide range of varied Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical 
equipment to work on. From 1930's gear to present day.

Company had good setup and facilities for the project. Tooling and equipment was good and supervision was highly experienced, good communicators and excellent safety leadership.

If you are not part of the inner circle in management you are not valued.  Social relationships with management is what matters with the west coast management groups.  Good offices and regions exist but difficult to know which office is good
