A typical day at work is busy, busy, busy.

The most enjoyable part of the job is that TAFESA has had many changes over the past years which creates exciting new challenges so you are always learning new skills which makes the job fast paced and really interesting.

The workplace culture creates more of a family environment with a diverse range of staff.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with high volume workloads and limited budget constraints for resourcing.

was a great place to work once, not anymore. Too many changes, constant staff cuts, savings, cutbacks. You never know who you are going to be working with from one day to the next. No supervision for new, casual staff. Positions not filled and existing staff expected to continually take on more responsibilities without incentives. Low staff morale, most experienced staff have left due to their unhappy environment.

Tough times for the RTO sector.
Finding strategies to battle changing funding regimes while retaining morale.
Industry partnerships remain key strategic directions; management are charged with making this a priority while overseeing reduced resourcing.

I learn a lot of thing being a student ambassador, I learn how to communicate with others, work in a team and organize events. Also improving my English talking skill too. I'm a boorinng guy before I became a student ambassador, but after I knew a lot of people and friends!

I have learned so much in my time at TAFESA. plenty of in house training available to assist with day to day requirements of the position. Line managers are readily available to help with any concerns

I enjoyed my time at TAFESA both as a student and tutor. The staff were very professional and at all times willing to help me learn and support me when working with students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
