Typical day at work:
Phones, emails and referrals, and dealing with clients but there are unreasonable KPIs to answer 50+ calls a day and if it's a busy day then emails and referrals don't get done and it's then busy for the afternoon staff/the next day

What I learned:
Right from the get go you don't get trained properly and within a week or two you're thrown in by yourself and then get told off for making mistakes instead of being retrained
they keep making new procedures and changing how to do things
the main thing I've learned is that they care more about making money than about the clients and employees

Management:
they keep you out of the loop and then yell at you when you get things wrong
Not very understanding if you need to take leave
they make you feel as though you will advance in the company but then they hire someone externally

workplace culture:
lots of unhappy people

hardest part of the job:
working all day knowing that the pay check you get each fortnight will be next to nothing once you take care of the cost of living

most enjoyable part of the job:
time goes by really quickly because it gets so busy

Firstly, management is barely present unless you're working at the main office where they are located (Tullamarine office), otherwise you never see them and it is very difficult to communicate effectively.

Only one person at front desk at Essendon and Moonee Ponds offices at a time, not good for safety reasons and also if you have any questions or in a difficult situation there is no one to help.

VERY high staff turnover, I've seen an ad posted almost every month looking for admin staff. Not surprising as management are highly ineffective and do not make an effort to get to know their staff. If you make a mistake don't expect constructive criticism, they will contact you (even when you're not at work) to play the blame game. On one occasion staff were also instructed to contact a client from their personal phone on their day off to correct mistake. 

In one sentence, save yourself the trouble and skip this one!

If you are applying for admin just be aware that it is like working in a call centre and doing all basic admin responsibilities (for the management + psychologists). The management has no idea what they are doing, as they bring in new policies and reject those new policies without any written notice and informing all of their employees. The entire company runs on a trial and error basis.  

In addition to this, I found New View psychology to be a very unsafe environment to work, as there is no camera access on any of their sites, late night finishes (sometimes till 8:30 PM) + early  morning starts (8:00 am) , the timings stated are back to back days no break in between. The psychs are not given any help button as well, just in case there is a threatening situation during the session and there is no way to communicate with the psychologists if they are in session.

- Understaffed and overworked with unreasonable KPI's.
- Job listed not what job actually is. This is a call centre, not an administration role.
- Management had no business plan to expand (unfortunately sad to see this hasn't changed) regardless of how much work needed to be done.
- Management sat out the back which created an awful hierarchy culture.
- High turnover of staff due to the heavy workload with no support.
- Low in moral with no culture.
- The psychologists working were more concerned of staff well-being than ex-psychologist(s) management.

I would not recommend working here when there are plenty of well established, efficiently functioning workplaces with much higher value of their staff. I had no regrets leaving. If there was an option for zero stars - I would've selected all zero.

My time at New View Psychology was quite positive and valuable. 

The work culture is very team-orientated and more like a family unit. I remember in my first few weeks of training I was really overwhelmed but always had supportive peers to assist me.

What I really appreciated was the flexibility this workplace offered. Management were very accommodating when it came to rostering needs and shift preferences, especially being a student with other commitments. 

As a psychology student, I was lucky enough to even get offered a placement opportunity! I am truly grateful for the experience and knowledge this company has given me. 

Their continuous growth and expansion speaks for itself!

New View Psychology is an immensely rewarding organisation to work for. As it is a growing business there are lots of opportunities for career progression and skill development. Management are attentive to the needs of employees and provide a safe, collaborative work environment for their staff. The most humbling thing about working for such a large organisation is that it is still a family business at heart. Despite it being a fast paced, ever changing work environment it is a fantastic place to work and grow.

They never heard about ethics principles and/or dignity. Very playful Human Resources officer and manipulative management. They are completely careless about their staff members and there is no basic care for clients. Poor working conditions, casual/ contract base, law pay. 
Please don’t get close to this workplace, it’s a scam, unsafe and not worth to work for.

Management and workplace culture are poor & incredibly inefficient. 
During my time there they decided to lower the pays of employees 
Payroll are a joke.

Lots of opportunities for development and learning, friendly staff, flexibility, focus on well-being. Multiple locations and can work at different clinics. 

Really bad place to work at. The offices are dirty and you have to share the toilet with clients. Management is unprofessional and not supportive. It's a horrible place to work at. Do not recommend this place. It's disgusting!!!!
