I started my career at Kookai on the  shop floor, from the onset my connection to the brand, it’s people and culture was aligned. I received extensive training from skilled leaders within the business. During my time on the shop floor I discovered so much about myself and my career aspirations, I found a genuine love for training and seeing others succeed and was fortunate enough to be given many opportunities to further flourish in my development. I received great support from incredible leaders, who provided me with a clear pathway for career progression.
I am so incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a passionate, supportive and empowering team. I am proud to work with Kookai and be connected to a family run business that truly cares for their employees. Being in such a positive working environment and culture only makes me want to strive for more. I highly recommend Kookai as a company that will invest in your development.

Having the experience of working at Kookai really boosted my skills with the workplace environment. Working with different cultures and backgrounds really gave me an understanding of the beauty in people within themselves. 
I've learnt that if one is to be dealing with customers in a retail store, they have to me 110% comfortable with their workplace firstly, then secondly to open up to a customer and give her/him your advice on what occasion the outfit is for. And, to also give some of your related experiences so the customer doesn't feel like they've lost you on their ideas...

Upper management especially in Sydney is so unprofessional, toxic, rude and frankly not a good representative to the image of kookai (dresses very poorly for someone working in fashion).

Store girls are so lovely and kind and it’s great working with customers if that’s your interest. Not a lot of room to grow in the company.

- Serving customers, stock handling, merchandising new product and store fit
-Work place culture was nice, we were all friends outside of work also, so it made coming it to work fun 
-the hardest part of the job was end of day, it was a big store and we had to go through each item individually. 
- most enjoyable part of the job was styling the customers

Lots of benefits working there but there is no support from HR or management, there is also a whole ton of favouritism and lack of professionalism. 

Didn’t even get an exit interview, no room to advance and management do whatever they want, including changing their clock ins.

Definitely a great experience and something to advance the resume but can be quite a toxic culture between the girls, can be quite exclusive and judgemental. Management picks favourites and those girls

As a long term employee, working through several positions and progression, I have had significant growth in the company as a result of the leadership and the development of my natural talents

Kookai was a great job to learn and build from, it allowed me to learn what kind of workplace I would like to be involved in. Unfortunately during my period here, there was a lot of management and work team changes which somewhat made the job less stable.

I loved gaining my skills in retail. I built my confidence in talking to customers and assisting in styling them. I loved working with really fun people who helped me gain knowledge and experience in retail.

The work environment and colleagues were nice and friendly. The management was not that ideal however, the manager barely gave any feedback on your work performance, either positive or negative.
Also didn't get any notice until the last week of seasonal contract.
