Once science works out how to weaponise stupidity 
(inventory) and arrogance (inventory and despatch), and in some cases incompetence some "managers"  will become world superpowers. Add to the mix that some of the people who pick orders  think that they are somehow special and superior to  all other employees and you understand that it is not a pleasant work place. Following safety rules seems to be optional, The main group that obeys them is the  agency labour hire people who never seem to last long. This is the classic place where the useless people stay and the useful ones quickly move onto better things.

Happy for the experience of having worked there, happier that I no longer do.

Typical day at Campbells consisted of picking and packing of orders, forklift operations, stock replenishment, unloading and loading of trucks, ordering of stock and general housekeeping duties. Learned How to work with people and customers better. Management and co-workers were good and still count many of them as friends today. Hardest part of the job was the amount of work we had to get done every day and the most enjoyable part was finishing that work and ensuring all customers had their orders in full and on time.

Management are not nice. Do yourself a favour and dont work here lots of backstabbing, gossiping you will leave this job with hernias or bad back. This is the worst job I've had. Management if they can call themselves that are not supportive they want there bonuses and its minimum pay for the workers. Its a toxic workplace full of bullies and tricksters with no support from management. Get another job dont work here plenty of other jobs out there with better management.

Typical day at work would include, Cleaning, serving customers,putting the trolleys outside, sorting out the mark down stock, getting codes for items, customer service all day long, stocking and re arranging shelves.
serving the customers was the highlight of my day, some you really got to know and built that personal rapport with them it makes your day so much more fun.

I loved being a branch buyer a very challenging job which you basically learnt something new everyday and you were left alone.
The hardest part of the job was having to work  with National Office and unreasonable allocations where average weekly sales were not taken into consideration.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to achieve your stock profit budgets and satisfying the customers needs.

This workplace has some good opportunities for those entering the workplace.  In saying that....  Many of the staff were bad mannered and lazy.  The company has massive staff turnover and every manager who I worked for, which was three, ended up being fired in controversial ways.  It was a unstable work environment with a lot of negative gossip and fighting.

A warehouse type environment where staff and management needed to be proactive in OH&S issues.  

A typical day resulted in staff rosters, filling stock, receiving stock, stock distribution, managing customer enquiries, managing any staff issues and staff meetings (toolbox meetings).

It wasn't fun very toxic culture management tell you what you want to hear but don't actually reward you for hard work and they just want you to do the job but work long hours and get nothing for it

Campbells cash and carry was a good place to work but fast paced and moving in and out of the cold storage room all day could bring up health issues but overall it was a good place to work

pleasant workmates and customers heavey lifting the friendly work mates will all work well together
