Be careful working for this company, they will make you feel good about the job at the beginning, but long term, they will start making you feel less and less motivated. There are constant changes to the process and procedures causing mass confusion at times. The management and leadership for the most part will care only about the work you can do for them, and not care for your own wellbeing. The only time they would care for your own wellbeing is if it directly affects them within the business. Don't get me started on mental health. Don't bother bringing up mental health issues to the leaders, as they won't do anything about it. They will ignore your struggles and expect you to struggle in silence. The whole feel of the company is just shut up and do your job, everything else, we don't want to hear about it. It's a disgustingly disrepectful company to work for, and I would never reccomend this company to anyone who wants a long term job. If you do work for this company, only stay there for three months maximum.

At the start they pretend to like you,Get you initiated by having a few beers,Then your first shift first two weeks you are working 10-12-14 hour shifts constant heavy lifting,They roster their own favourites and you could be off work for up to two weeks until they text you in,If you take a day off for genuinely being sick or other problems they'll punish you with two weeks off,There's this footy boy culture about the place and if you can't fit in you'll be left out ,They also rush through the containers and then there's lots of mistakes,They also pay container rate sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad,I was there 6 months and then all off a sudden stop calling me in,But yet the boys who constantly came late made mistakes and bludging where always rostered on,They wanted me back but I ignored there calls,I'm now in a container unloading job myself somewhere else and there's no dramas deadlines or footy boy culture ,But yeah these guys 2/5

Most of the work you will be doing will be unloading containers, some of which can be over 40 kg in weight, onto pallets, packing them to be transported by forklifts to other locations in the warehouse.  It is  place to be if you enjoy lifting over 40 kg in weight in some cases.  Everyday, there is a meeting to assign which containers you work on so it is a hard day if you are allocated very heavy containers.  For new comers, it is best to start with light containers to build up your fitness but you might not have a choice as this is determined by team leader and others.  You only have 1/2 hour unpaid meal break and no tea break so expect continous hard physical work from start to finish. Expect no work for some weeks and on-call work the night before.  Ideal for short to medium term work as there might be high turn over. Not for long term work as the work is VERY PHYSICAL.

I've learnt how to manage an electric pallet jack, read paper work for devanning and developed new skills for the job. Everyday would be filled with laughter and always got along with co-workers and other workers in the warehouse. Hardest part would of have been trying to find available spaces for completed tubs to place as the doors would always be full as we were exceptionally amazing at doing what we did. Best part was always meeting new people easily and having fun throughout the shift.

Nothing stressful about young guns work place runs smooth

Pretty much one big family , amazing people 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical days at young guns is like going thru 8-13 containers a day , start at 5:45 and finish around 2 depends on how fast you work

Honestly not a good place to be if you value your mental health.
Constantly have to chase up if you have shifts coming in the following week.
They have no sense of communication.
They treat the workers absolutely horrendous, and take credit for the work done by the team actually working, not to mention alot of day They let you work with no breaks and still dock you for breaks even if you've told them.
They seem to only do good for those who are in there circle or willing to be a yes man to them.

Hire & fire as they please, Bully boy mentalities, A lot of backstabbing favouritism, Long hours 12 hour days with one half hour break,Pay was ok,But they treat you like a number & don't care about your situations or other commitments even though you turn up to work everyday & put in the hours, They give you day off text for 2 weeks straight then refuse to give you a reference when you apply for a new job

Management is alright good first job. it a fun friendly environment with a diverse cultural workforce.when I  first started at the job it was quite taxing on the body still taxing down the line aswell but not as much, great to keep in shape while working at the same time,money is pretty good as well. Overall good job and great experience.

Not the best of people. They never under stand your situations at all. Never on time with pay or they just don't pay you at all and when you bring it up to them they say you don't work there

Overall young guns container crew has taught me skills learning in a fast pace environment that makes most warehouse work seem easy now, I met a lot of great people and the work wasn't the easiest but the money was okay
