A typical day at work includes serving customers and cleaning the store. Fellow employees are fun to work with, yet only 2 or 3 team members are rostered on at the same time.
Store Management is NOT up to industry standard, often verbally setting the bar for the rest of the employees, yet ironically not meeting those standards themselves e.g. tells us shorts are not to be worn in the workplace, yet store manager wears shorts on shift, phones are not to be used in the workplace only the store phone, yet store manager clearly uses personal mobile phone EVEN while interacting with customers.
Store Management and Head Office management are so close personally, that any issues that arise with Store Management are acknowledged by Head Office, but overlooked and ignored.

Personally, after requesting multiple times for increased hours, and shift supervising shifts (currently only working 4 hours a week MAX), requests were acknowledged and never followed up.

Overall morale is low, people don't overly enjoy working here.

As my first job, I had no idea what to expect from my first day at Yogurtland. It was the grand opening, so expectations were high and the stress was imminent while trying to learn the ropes within minutes. Over the first few months, I struggled to find my footing. But eventually as I began to pick up the routine, you realise how fun and enjoying it is to work here. All three Newcastle stores will present you with the same welcoming culture, wide spread of customers and staff discounts. You will however, find yourself longing for more work. Even by pushing for more shifts, three or four is the most you'll be able to do in a week. The average amount is between one and two shifts a week.

A Typical day at my job there was to call into all the stores, weather i was rosters a shift there to just following up or checking in.
I have responsible for 3 stores.
I learned a lot working there, i always thought i had great time management, but now having to work with 3 assistant managers and 9 shift managers i really needed to ensure my time was well planned out.
My co-workrs were great people, they were the highlight of my day, they made it so easy to come to work on a daily basis.

The down fall of the job was all the driving i had to do, approx 20hrs a week and that was just going to work and home again. I lived at least an hour from the stores.

A typical day in store, was quite relaxed, but there was always something to do; Serving customers, cleaning frozen yoghurt machines, cleaning front and back of house and refilling toppings and frozen yoghurt. I learnt how to work in a cohesive environment, liaise with management while also being able to work cooperatively with all people. My job gave me the opportunity to grow and evolve my social skills, while facing me with the challenges of travel and how to cope with new and different environments and people.

Working at Yogurtland is quite enjoyable. The job allows you to show your personality and have fun while you work. The atmosphere is bright and colourful, with good music. However I have grown to dislike my job at Yogurtland as I receive very little shifts (1-2 a fortnight) due to my age and the seasons. Only 1 crew member and 1 manager is on at a time making it hard to have relationships with my co-workers.

A typical day at work would be cleaning machines, cutting up fruit, filling the topping containers, making sure the store is always clean and tidy, filling up the machine with product and making sure the product is 100% perfect for the customers. At Yogurtland, i have gained more customer service skills and met lovely, fun and energetic co-workers.

I still remember this job as it gave me anxiety in trying to find a new one, the lady who owns it left me to run a store by myself whilst having a friendly chat n the phone during the storms in April Of 2015 ( i was only 15) te store was crowded and people started complaining about things running out, when she came back she yeled at me for not doing anthing infront of the whole store full of people

Yogurtland is a friendly and hardworking environment. The staff are all very friendly and motivated and its one of the easiest jobs to have. A typical day at work would include opening the store; so doing your fruit preps and setting up the store. The rest of the day is merely customer service and maintenance (wiping down the tables and front of the machines).

Worked at the Gold Coast location for 9 months and loved it. Pretty cool place to work, not too hard and for the most part pretty breezy. Management were great and understanding if anything came up that would prevent me from coming in. 

The manager at Coffs Harbour Kelly micro manages the staff. She has moods swings is sometimes manic and on some occasions appeared to be drunk or very hungover. Working in an environment like this is very unproffessional. A manager who acts like your best friend and your worst enemy is not a healthy environment to work in.
