A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK:
A typical day at work was to come in and log into your phone. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Often caused conflicting errors in payroll and their point system as well as
calling in sick. You greet people on the phone and take their
information and enter into the computer. You have to monitor
how much time you spend on the call, because they have a 
high call volume, since closing another call center. You are
sitting in a small kiosk with a headset and must be able to
work until they say you can go on break due to the volume.

BENEFITS:
They offer a great benefit package after 90 days of employment typical as with other employers.
The Human Resource Department are very friendly and excited to get you in as soon as possible sometimes rushing too much and making mistakes. But the ratio is low if you look at the size of the training class. OJT Training last for 3 weeks which has improved since they have a new trainer.
They have PTO but don't ask for a day off before 90 days. Its very
hard to get it approved unless you make it known when they hire you how important that day is to take off.They have no need for those who do not want to be there everyday and offer plenty of overtime for those who want it, which is nice for some 
saving or are struggling paying there bills. But all the overtime
would not be necessary if they offered a descent wage.
The wage is just a little over minimum wage, not enough for a family of 2 to live on in any area. 
After the first month, they offer an incentive bonus for quality, quantity, being in your seat and ready, attendance.
They have a high turnover rate which is unfortunate.
The pay rate for promoted employees are at a different pay rate.
Salary once you become a Supervisor.

MANAGEMENT:
They are fairly new organization since Xerox took over Affiliated Computer Services (ACS).

The senior management are the longest lasting employees who can be biased sometimes and of course has every right to in selecting who they promote.  But, once you get promoted you can move up quickly. They offer computer online training to help in learning rules and regulations and policy and procedures.
Supervisors are helpful to encourage those who want to move up
but these candidates are selected carefully. They will help you develop your resume which is great learning tool.

MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF JOB:
The most enjoyable part of the job the pot luck lunch that they offered occasionally and dress up theme days and the training and team building you get to achieve.

YOUR CO-WORKERS:
The employees were either very unprofessional or very 
professional just like anywhere. Most are friendly and willing
to help you. 

ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT
The most not enjoyable are the pods where you sit, you are jammed in too close together so the noise level is very loud and the customers complain they can hear the background noise.
The equipment is not so new but it works most of the time.

WHAT I LEARNED:
I learned that you can decide either to be a happy, energetic, fun-filled representative AND willing to help others or you can be someone who just goes to work to earn a paycheck and go home.
The choice is yours.

Working @ Xerox in New England

I have been with the Xerox Corporation for 15 years now and it is with disdain, disgust & contempt that I relay to you the fact that not a single Xerox employee that I have met with the word "Manager" in their title actually have any managerial skills whatsoever.  They are like Doctors with a God complex and have absolutely no bedside manner.

I have witnessed one manager (no longer with Xerox) intentionally lead a coworker to believe that he would receive an increase in salary if he opted to travel out of his way & to keep his job.  This employee could just barely pay for the additional commuting costs alone.  Once this employee complied and took the position this manager turned around and told him he would not be receiving any extra compensation.

At the time of renewal my manager tried to tell me that I am supposed to work overtime for free.  That I do not get any overtime because my coworker on the account and himself do so.  This guy is a manager and he does not know the difference between salaried & paid by the hour.  I am not salaried and they are.  That is the difference that escapes this guy.

When my current manager was first assigned to the account his first order of business was to keep the account from losing him money...  He called it being dinged.  We spent lots of client time just to find out that because Xerox's information systems can't communicate with each other he concocts this elaborate time consuming process so he can keep his pennies... 

I also witnessed this managers first order of business on a previous account where he threatened all the associates with being written up if we did not attend the yearly Kick off meeting.  I watched him write up another employee for something this employee had no idea that had occurred, the man just completely blamed him with out any Inquiry or investigation into the matter.

Pointing out and turning obvious actions into commands as well as reiterating corporate propaganda does NOT make you a manager, albeit Corporate does set these managers up for failure due to the fact that these managers are not on site, mine is an "absentee landlord" and if he perceives that you have slighted him in any way he becomes hostile with you privately.

Basically the most widely used tools by Xerox management are deceit, hostility & intimidation.

For a company internationally that has a reputation for innovation and cutting edge technology .Fuji Xerox Australia sadly lacks in many departments, poor management , lack of strategy and the lack of ethics makes FXA a poisonous place to work . At FXA its not what you can do , but how you talk yourself up and BS .Managers are recruited or promoted on boys club/drinking mates mentality , there have no capability unethical and incompetent.Nation Operations manager has no qualifications , Service managers bully field staff .
Place is a joke this is indicated by a halving of employee engagement  from 62 to 31 per cent over the last 3 yrs .Proof of this 50 techs made redundant , had to recruit 40 more 2 months latter when realised that they didnt have enough techs 
CEO marched out in early May

Executives eliminating the "mother Xerox" service techs for the xerox owned service companies. They pay them less and it shows in the service they provide but hey, the execs are making money. Pay has been pretty flat for almost 10 years before getting the "IRIF". Flavor of the month procedures and benchmarks make it hard to be consistent and meet numbers that really matter. District managers were mostly great, regional were ok but kool-aid drinkers. Rediculous schemes to make more $ without the commitment of an actual raise. I liked working on the products and customers were great to deal with. Company car restrictions abound now, they used to be pretty good. Benefits costing more and more and getting less and less options.

loved working at Fuji Xerox, while working there i learned to better my ability to manage my time more efficiently, I became more independent and adapted well to different work situations. Everyone I worked with was welcoming, kind and helpful, while also working to get jobs done and do their jobs to the best of their abilities. the hardest part of the job was the confusing paperwork which I found difficult since I did not work there full time, but overtime I was able to learn and adapt. the easiest and most fun part of my job was interacting with my work colleagues, who were able to help me with any queries I had regarding my assigned jobs.

Doesn't matter where you end up, anywhere is better than here.  Poor training and zero development opportunities. Management acts like a bunch of headless chickens, don't even know how to accomplish the basic of tasks. Uncoordinated, unskilled & rely on underlings to do all the work. Losing contracts due to poor performance and escalating costs, due to poor project management.

Fuji Xerox hires great staff. But it did not have a sustainable culture to retain or reward talent. 

The print industry is undergoing large scale disruption in the Australian market much faster than at the head office in Japan. Fuji Xerox were not able to change fast enough. I found it difficult to work in a company that had so much pressure on the bottom line and revenue growth. The executive teams and sales cycle was focused on price rather than providing real solutions for customers.

My  time at Xerox Copy Centre was a 3 year period as been a big company there was a limit of personal that would be hired by Xerox
i was initially employed as a courier in my first year as Xerox but then i was contract to Xerox copy centre doing deliveries to there customers and when possible if i caught up or it was quiet i would help my co workers
If would be hard part it would have limited time to deliver jobs in peak times

I enjoy to work there for such a long time. I loved to  working at Fuji Xerox, while working there i learned to better my ability to manage my time more efficiently and productive, I became more independent and adapted well to different work situations all times . Everyone I worked with was welcoming, and helpful, while also working to get jobs done and do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
