What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early starts in the morning can begin at 6am and stretch out till 12 with overtime available. But some start times can vary.

Friendly working environment,good for new beginners since they provide step by step training

As a causal worker, has to be ware of your efficiency and punctuation

Start my shift at 11am and finish at 5pm or add couple hours more if U like

I was working afternoon shifts as I just couldn't handle the 5am starts, definitely suits with my lifestyle well. But if you're not ready to sacrifice yourself to be here it's not for you, as they have a strict Saturday availability rule. They are very strict on your days off and your work performances, especially as a casual working through Programmed or whatever agency you work through.

Here you get best pay rates $40/ hours for entry level

You shift might get canceled 3 days in a row

No two days are same,  voice picking is the best part

My time at Woolworth distribution centre Mulgrave was a good experience for me in milk room then in fresh cut for picking on the voice recognition it’s been a wonderful opportunity to work for one of the biggest groceries distribution centre in Australia my time there was great until chandler Mcleod came in as the new agency for Woolworth

Good place to work, you can work independently without having to rely heavily on Management to interfere.  You can perform your job with having very little interaction from others then go home.  The only issue is preassure from Management to perform at a sometimes high speed.  Management really need to take into consideration not only speed, but accuracy, product placement and attendance.  Not just look at the high pick rates.

The money is very good,Made great friends there.
 The work is repetitive- so good for those that love this kind of role as a voice picker.
- As a voice picker, do your job well and you’ll be left alone.
- You call your own lunch breaks (x2)
- The only time you’ll get talked to from TL’s is when you’re performing well, not performing well, frequent absenteeism.

- Excellent attendance and performance (100% +) means you will be considered for higher duty roles.

I liked that they offered short shifts, however the picking time limits for orders were unrealistic as the grocery aisles were constantly backed up with traffic (you’d have to weave around people to get things from shelves and would get stuck in aisles). A manager helped me through half of my first order and then you are just sent off to do your own thing. There was little support from management. 

You can’t have a bad day at this job or pick slow when you have things going on with you or else you get flagged. They go by speed of work and not cartons per hour. The longer your order, the lower your rate will be because of big stack and speed. The smaller your order, the easier it is to stay on top KPI.
