Wm Morrisons Supermarkets

Before I begin I really hope the Morrisons store I worked at is not a representation for Morrisons as a whole company or other stores.
I joined the new click and collect team here back in May 2020 because of Covid-19 and only lasted a couple of weeks before being fired for accidentally getting 1 order mixed up.
I understand at the time I was joining a new system meaning the manager/supervisors were new to it as well however when I started the training was very badly organised and we were most of the time me and my group were left to our own devices and just past from pillar to post between other store colleagues.
And when they couldn't be bothered with us we were just sent to go randomly pick items for hours on end pushing an oversized trolley so we can learn the store apparently.
We were even expected to pick 6 peoples shopping all at once which is how I got things mixed up.
The overall atmosphere of the job was lifeless as I could tell most people weren't happy there, some other employee even talked badly of the company while I was there and looking back the way I was tossed out the door I had never felt so disgusted in my life.
 The manager who let me go didn't have any respect or care in the world when he did it and the way he exaggerated my mistake was as if I had accidentally set the isles on fire.
You would think given current circumstances with Covid-19 they would be a little more compassionate and supportive as it knocked my confidence for a while after that.
Luckily now I have bounced back from this and I really hope this review if they ever see it hurts them as it is a disgraceful environment to work in.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The 15% staff discount for yourself and one other person

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working way above your 40 hours contract absolutely no work life balance. As a manager my hourly rate was less than a general assistant and sometimes fell below the minimum wage.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Extremely toxic with a very poor senior leadership team. Nothing is confidential and standards are non existent. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extremely stressful laden with task after task doing about 10 peoples work. No time to switch off with constant calls off duty and several group chats. All admin work done in your own time of days off.

take on the role of a supervisor managing a team of 5 delegating tasks and deadlines, preparing the rota, doing legal checks and customer service.
I have learnt the importance of  understanding and various methods to get the same point across so that all kinds of people understand.
Management is alright but the do try hard and implement what they learn on their courses they attend.
Co-Workers understand what is expected of them and how important and appreciated the contribution is.
the hardest part of the job is pleasing customers when the service they require or product is unavailable.
When the team smash targets and motivate each other and that reflects on their work and the service they provide.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing, bad management and full of nepatism. Its not what you know it's who you know. Overtime goes too those who have partners or significant others working in the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You can get on with your work but the fact that you are "not family" plays on your mind 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Again its not what you know it's who you know. If you "aren't family" your on your own.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Annoying , and really frustrating

I started working here when I was still in college, for that age I was on good pay. I got a 15 hour contract straight away which was ideal for me. They are very flexible with their hours and I managed to fit it around my studies. The staff are really friendly and I made some good friends. 
When I left college I wanted full time work however they refused to put my contract up, meaning I was not guaranteed full time hours every week.

At work I am on my own for nearly a full shift dealing with customers and restocking the stock. I have learned that not all customers needs can be met. The management are nice and very friendly. Co-workers are lovely and are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. Hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult customers. Most enjoyable part of the job is getting a well done or being praised by others for your customer service or for the work you've done that day.

•Preparation & baking of all bread & cake shop products and display of foods.
•Ensure that all specific documentation is  processed in accordance with company 
•To resolve customer disputes working with internal and external customers.
Carry out product codes & counter checks 
•Perform full clean down of the bakery department
•Work part of a team 
•To provide a fast, efficient and satisfactory service to the customers
•Sales assistant on Check out

Morrisons have no interest in their staff unless you are in a clique. They will not make reasonable adjustments to your working day if you require them, to continue doing your job. Constantly changing shifts without asking or telling you. You have to swipe in and out with a certain time and if you are early or late, no matter the reason, a black mark goes against your name. Nothing positive to say about my time there

Not a best part treated like a slave 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Department manager useless.move u about to much different departments 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Nothing good  with working in Morrisons 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chaotic and no consistency .stressful

A lot of great people but work rate continualy being increased while scheduled hours regulary cut by large amounts, often at very short notice. High staff turnover in a dated store. Company mire foccused at saving money than caring abiut employees.
