a typical day at work would be for me to show up at the job in the first place and on time. secondly to get the equipment ready for operating. I would move the water cleaning machine to the taps and hose and fill up the water cleaning machine and the turn it on and go clean the floors at the warwick shop in perth western Australia which I also did at three other locations in the perth cbd as well. then once the floors were cleaned I would take the machine to the troughs and empty the machine of water and go put it back onto the recharger help ready for the next day. I worled from Monday to Saturday morning starting at 3 am to 6am. when I worked at st mark's I worked form 3pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday. what I leaned at the jobs was to be ontime and to work to the best of my ability and to show respect to my boss and work colleages. I didn't take my job or the people I worked with for granted and I was grateful for my paypacket when I got it.i didn't grumble about the amount of money I made I was grateful to have a wage in the first place. as far as management goes I learned to work mostly unsupervised and as for my co-workers they too learned to work mostly unsupervised. the hardest part of the job was the initial routine that I had to get into. the most enjoyable part of the job was that once I got into a routine it was easy to do the job.

Mixed bag. Can't say that all went well but not all bad either. Wouldn't ever work for this company again, but many do enjoy working for them. The main issue is the disrespect associated with the pay packet. They just don't seem to understand this. The money that the cleaners got paid was terrible, insulting really. They rely on a workforce from poor or disadvantaged backgrounds for a reason. Basic ally it's high demand of performance for non competitive wages.

Pros were the teams out together. Company mostly provided good equipment to use. Monthly newsletter always engaging. 

Cons the renumeration. Wages were often late with no heads up. Pay disputes very difficult to resolve. 

Overall if you really need a job then give them a go. I would suggest to always have one foot in and the other out, look for something better. I appreciate Westralian for giving me a job when I needed it, but after time the demand sna slow wages wear you out. Hope this helps.

well I was working with Westralian with coles which was a great opportunity for me to work as cleaner in a huge supermarket,its was the first time because I have been working with spotless at westfield carousel in food courts and crown perth casino which was not similar.there we were with lots of people whereas in coles and target only two people ,so we should be very quick to complete the tasks in time and correctly.but if follow the direction and policy of the company nothing is impossible.if the job is being perform correctly according to management there is no way of getting any complaints.the hardest part of the job is when you wash the floor sometimes fluff remain on the floor with the machine and flow everywhere even when mop the corner or when the machine sometimes leak water behind,but we coop with it.and the most enjoyable part is when you finish and the floor is shinning like a mirror and that you have no complaints

If you want to be a Cleaner for Westralian you need to learn how to walk fast, it is a very fast paced job.
I got the job before I went to my interview. I could honestly say my first week was overwhelming and daunting but I had great on the job training by management and am now proficient in all aspects of the job. I’ve even dropped 2 dress sizes. Best way to lose weight. In my position alone I walk 15km a day. 
There are shifts to cater for everyone depending on your flexibility and needs, with great pay rates plus benefits. Management is understanding of your needs and treats their employees with respect and fairness.

A typical day at work consists of cleaning mopping scrubbing and rinsing as I explained in the beginning and what I perceived as hard in the beginning has now become easier, the management staff have been reasonable to me and I work autonomously, so I don't have co-workers at this stage. 

The hardest part of this job (and I'm not going to lie to you) is, crawling into small spaces, under benches to clean walls, so I just do the best I can, but I don't waste my time or the companys' time pretending to be working when I'm not.

The most enjoyable part of the job is finishing and feeling good about what I've done, and that's being honest.

Employers are very kind and polite, very welcoming.  Good pay rate.  Employees are well looked after.

For as long as everyone does their work as required of them, there is no stress.

Very family and friendly.  I loved it.

others may have a different opinion, for me every day is the same.  You will love it and enjoy working at the Company.

The work can be rewarding, hard part is getting the support needed.
Management rule by fear.
 Do not have an opinion or you will never come back from it.
Area manager is completely absent, wages are extremely low considering the hard work expected of you and covering shifts.
They say there door is always open which is just not true.
Management all family so if you have a work related issue with one you have no chance to rectify it.


I enjoyed working for this company because of the environment I was working in and the people I was working with also.

I am regretful that I left this company too soon to assume another job.  I believe I could have gone places, but I learnt so much in such little time about commercial/domestic cleaning.  At least I got 1 year experience with this company.

Work monday to friday, I learn grading the fruits, efficient at work, how to coordinate work with fun colleague (both local and travellers)
the hardest part of the job is to focus on picking the right fruits and keep on high speed packing. The most enjoyable part of the job is listen to music at work and friendly colleague around the world.

I loved working there, learnt a lot, got experience and developed my skills to work in a fast paced environment. I worked in different shopping centers with different roles that helped me develop and upgrade my skills. Both management and team were very cooperative.
