Working one of the hardest jobs on council. I was belittled, mimicked and made to feel like nothing. No matter hard I worked or success I brought to the organisation it was never enough and Managers that have been there for 25 years that are incapable of leading or supporting teams, always win. They can treat you like nothing and it will be overlooked. HR love a good cover up and blame on the weakest link. So toxic, if you consider working here read as many reviews and reach out to people who have worked here as you may be left feeling like you are never good enough. Thank you WDRC for crushing my soul and heart. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
There wasn't any best part. Management are woeful and promotion is based on how well you know the boss and not skills or experience. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management. Worst management I have ever experienced in my working lifetime

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very bad. You can be incompetent and lazy and still not only keep your job but also get promoted. Management run sham contracting arrangements with mates and it is overlooked by Executives

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Trying to do my job while overpaid lazy staff walk around gossiping

Management is poor and weak; Very weak in internal controls especially, payroll and procurement.
Workplace culture is weak - people are scared to speak up. Many people lost their jobs over the last few years especially since 2016. 
I believe my position was made redundant because I would not change my audit reports based on management pressure.
management personnel at the EMT level are non-professionals and passively deters professional and upright staff.


What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing I was physically and mentally abused.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything. When one get a job that there mates wanted so they all ostracised you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There's none. If your not born in the area your never welcomed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Bullying from start to end. If your an outsider not born there or related.

Poor upper management with no field experience dictating faster is better with no experience over worked an under paid depending on department ability for lots of over time cause there unable to retain or get new staff to cover the work load may aswell get all your training done prior to employment cause they’ll do it when they feel like it and demand you do the job untrained if you Arnt 

Management think they do an awesome job but staff morale is below basement level. Be prepared to be blamed for bosses mistakes passed around through the 'chain of command'. Poor communication between boss levels and far too top heavy. You're either told to do three different things by three different bosses... or you're told nothing at all.

A strong IT team that stays abreast with technology. Sometimes, progress which is usually dependant on third parties, may be slow. Have a strong focus on work-life balance.   Generally, a nice group of people who know what they are doing and what needs to be done to get there. 

The Regional Manager is a narcissist and frequency dismisses nurses who dare to challenge any of her decisions. This is why the RN position is always being advertised. The culture of the facility will not change until there is a a change of management.

Going through some major restructure top to bottom. 
They are looking to improve the way everything is done so to achieve a better council across the board.

was good really fun to work there had to be well time managed and had to be fit had to nice and show respect to your workmates
