A typical day was to meet with all section leaders, team brief the day's events, focusing on any delivery obstructions. 
Review safety controls with relevant section leaders and safety management team.
Review financial situation with CFO and review forward work plans with sales team and CFO.
My focus has mainly be on people, delivery performance, safety and well-being. I always tried to make every member of our work force feel they were respected and made to feel welcomed at our business.  I am an avid believer, that people are our greatest asset and they should always be treated with respect, look after the people and they in turn will look after the business.
I don't generally find issues seriously difficult, as I believe if we set the business conditions correctly, then monitor and encourage those conditions to be achieved, provide support when they are needed, there should never be any surprises for our share holders.
The most enjoyable part of all my roles has been building new businesses, building new teams and watching people grow and out grow their roles. Watching our businesses grow from start up.

These Companies that I have worked for before, give me not only good pay..but great experienced as employee and gain lots of friends and workmates.  They have compassion on their employees.  Honestly I have been an honest and good lineman, why? because for me giving me good and great opportunity in a one of the prestigious company like Transfield Services, WEST COAST ENERGY and Electrix are great experienced all I can say is..
THEY ARE NOT ONLY GIVING EXPERIENCED BUT THEY MAKE OUR FAMILY HAPPY.

Schedule work and keep schedule out to 6 weeks. Review
Learned that Scheduling Department is the heart of the business and Management keeps tabs on the schedule 24/7
The culture is like a close family. 
The hardest part was to keep a balance between work crews and management. Not to over schedule crews and not to under achieve for management.
No matter what role you are in, everybody jumps in to lend a hand all over the business.

A wonderful place to work! I was fortunate enough to be employed at WCE from the day they opened their doors. Among the many things I learned, was how to be an open, popular, and good manager. The management team is well structured, efficient, and highly productive;  a great bunch of people, that I am proud to be associated with! I left the company to enter into a new business with my best friend.

A pity the head office closed the business. All personal worked hard and enjoyed the work. Quality work done to meet western power standards. A challenging work environment (SWIS network) desert heat to wet Albany. A lot of away work but the work team supported each other and the company was interested in employee well being. lots of opportunities for people who wanted to improve their lot.

Best job ever.all my tickets through them,great management,awesome workmates.Always doing something different.travellling away to work..Very safety conscious,with safety meetings held every fortnight.
refresher courses at least twice a year on certain tickets.
A very family orientated atmosphere to work in.Every one was responsible for themselves & everyone around them.The work was mostly live power work.

Learnt heaps although some of my learnings were abit to slow for the company
Management were fair and relatible
Hardest part of job was not knowing some of the requirements properly for jobs which meant I missed out on doing things
Enjoyed the money as an apprentice and the opportunity to have gained a skill.

I'm happy working with west coast energy for the fast 3 yrs. teamwork and looking after each other while working. And safety always come first.Management always conduct safety meeting for the whole team twice a month.For me no hard part of the job coz we help each other all the time.

I was happy with this company, they have culture, they bring new latest technology  to the workers and also good tools and equipment in the field.  They pushing hard safety in all area. The problem was the line owner hold works and not enough work  for us

I only had a short assignment of one month in WCE when I first arrived to Perth, so I can't say much about the culture. However, I could put into practice my excel skills by redesigning and creating operational reports.
