I have worked here only ever in the one position. I left my role to take a well earned sabbatical and they quite generously re-interviewed me when my role became available again and I was quite happy to return. 
I found their EAP program here to be very helpful and their Chaplaincy they provide to staff has been awesome for personal wellbeing and made me feel very supported through a really rough personal tragedy. 
I have found the workplace culture in our particular office to be wonderful. In fact we have such a great team that I thoroughly enjoy going to work. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction of being able to assist in helping under-privileged children and the wonderful team and people. 
The hardest part of the job for me personally was in my particular role there was no room for promotion without changing location. Luckily I was happy to remain at the location I was at. 

Work as a contact supervisor is autonomous and hard, you are expected to use your own car and paid little for upkeep. Even if you are offered the work car others take it first so you can't use it. 
Workers not given adequate training in report writing then sacked because it was not up to standard when they hadn't been properly trained, they hadn't even developed the proper training when I was there. Often you are abused by the families you are trying to help, and the culture is such you do not get supported by management when they do. 

I highly recommend to work for this industry. I always love helping people at all the time growing up. I try my best to bring them to their full protential & to be the best they can be in life. These people need love & care as much as we(staff) need these quality of life. At the end of the day, I come home, I'm very satisfied to know, I have put a smile on someone's face & have given them the care, help and whatever they may need/ask help required I have given my all to the clients to make them feel they are cared for by staff at every Shift I'm rostered to work.

Some workers are good, but many will cut hours (show up late, leave early)  at the expense of other workers without much regard for proper client  support and management really doesn’t seem very helpful or to care to much.
  The hardest part of the job is being left with a client when there are supposed to be other workers there, can be dangerous or just an unfair workload for those who want to do the right thing.
  I enjoyed the financial security and building a relationship with the clients.

Management consists of largely one person onsite - very little room for autonomy. 
Huge staff turnover due to discontent as a result of the above and loss of nursing skills 
Child protection reports from staff are not taken seriously not acted upon in a timely manner which leaves staff  and children in a vulnerable position and nursing staff’s registration at risk

This was one of the worst places I worked in my life. Condescending and bullying behavior is the norm with management. Slow to change processes and just adopt an “oh well” attitude when they have realized an error.  Very little direction and shoot from the hip decisions that change constantly. The goal posts are not clear and because of this staff retention is shocking. Everyone quits.  It’s really toxic.

I spent a number of years in a couple of different roles working for Wesley Mission and would go back to work for them again if the opportunity arose. Generally supportive work culture and the majority of the people (frontline workers) are there to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.

Staff turnover is incredably high due to very poor management. The clinical knowledge of management is non-existent which is portrayed in the very low quality of practice observed.
