Management was an absolute disgrace. Lack of education, experience or evidence of any useful information provided to clients or staff. If you are “friends” with management, regardless of your suitably for the position, you will get the job so these managers have a larger, like-minded audience to maintain their unprofessional and toxic behaviour in the workplace. 

There are many other NFP Mental Health Support Programs offered within this catchment area; I highly recommend sourcing out these other organisations before considering becoming an employee for Wellways. There is a concerning need for people with above issues to have access to support workers who are there to work and create meaningful and impactful changes in their lives - Wellways management are absolutely not equipped nor interested in making this possible for this very vulnerable cohort. 



The tasks I was required to perform at Wellways were engaging as they were tasks I had never undergone before.

I enjoyed working in every department I was placed in, and found the company culture to be considerate, hardworking and collaborative.

As someone with no previous experience in administration, I my team leaders were patient and understanding. They provided me with tasks that were initially difficult, but with persistence guidance I became a competent team member.

Wellways was a fantastic place to work, and I only left because I went overseas for long while.

Changes constantly, you need to be on the ball with your time management.
Workplace culture, enjoyable most of the time. Hardest part of the job is when you want to do so much but time is always your master. Most enjoyable time of the day is seeing a smiling face when you arrive.
You need to take care submitting your own accurate details and keep a record as the system doesn't always work well.
All administrative contacts were exceptionally helpful and always available.
Overall a pleasant occupation.

I've been apart of the HASI Team at Wellways for nearly a year and have recently stepped up into another program.
The training and support from my supervisor and team in HASI has enabled me to grow and learn rapidly.  
They're very supportive, work collaboratively and are understanding when personal leave is required for unforeseen circumstances.  
Wellways understand the importance of work life balance so you'll rarely work a minute past close of business.

Supportive work environment with plenty of opportunities to grow within the organisation. Regular professional development offered to staff.
I have never been part of an organisation that not only cares about the people they help, but also cares about the wellbeing of their staff.

I have been with the organisation for more than 12 months and the culture, work life balance & salary has been consistently excellent. 
The only complaint that I would have relates to the on boarding experience which could use some work.  It was a little bit long and confusing.  

Following onboarding, I have have been nothing but satisfied with my experience at Wellways. 


They are great people with great management amd well organized amd professional people. I highly recommend to join their team as they provide proper training and they always care about their staff safety and they are very competent when it comes to cultural respect. They are 24 hours with you to support you whenever you need. Very friendly and working with them is fun and joy.

This company only cares about itself - not its workers - the management are lazy and quick to pass the buck if - God forbid - something happens while on shift! Workers get hit,  bitten,  and seriously injured from violent clients - they don't care as long as they can say they've tried to give that client workers!

As a disability support worker, I have enjoyed working with many individuals living in the community with their families or in special care.

I really enjoy taking clients to their appointments, shopping for groceries or out for a coffee.

Personal care is required by clients also. Ie bathing or showering

Not an excessively stressful place to work. Compared to most support agencies, Wellways in QLD offers administrative support to staff, management is easy to deal with and team members tend to be pretty awesome - can get a bit clicky. 
Client load is reasonable - clients are clients.
