Early starts 0500 daily prestart meet, job allocation and planning of blasting and drilling with close liaison with the clients engineers. Mentoring of the blast crews for safe operation of explosives and use of, assist drill operators for any issues with pattern changes or ground conditions (hard rock)
Respect the crews and their attitudes when the pressure is on with heat and conditions.
Train and allocate jobs and machinery that the operators are experienced with and I encourage drill training for the personnel that show interest in multi skills.
Challenges with multi cultural communications but I have patience and make diagrams so as to explain completely and we all go home happy after a lot of destruction in the pits.

Enjoyed the variety of work and conditions, work hours where reasonable, but would off preferred more. Good quality of machines to operate. Management where easy to work for and kept the project organised and moving forward. Other operators where easy to work with and all had a good work ethic and attitude . Would happily work for this company again.

Work consisted essentially of looking after all civil works. Site management, co-coordinating a safe interface with construction and the public was at times challenging.
Co-workers were  accepting and great to work with.
Interfacing with the public on a active airport was the greatest challenge.
Flying into Adelaide airport and seeing the project finished and looking world class.

Good group of blokes to work with. Doing fifo work you have no life outside of work! Work 1 week of 12 hour days and then the following week of 12 hour nights, then fly back East for a week. But in actual fact you loose a day each way when travelling so you really only get 3 Days rest which goes way way way to fast!

We had a an excellent team leader who was respected by all who worked under him. The safety culture was one of the best I have experienced.
Pre-starts were informative, we knew what was planned for the day. On the job training was provided and assessed by written review.

Very efficient company that has great people with fantastic attitude to work and how to manage employees and get the most out of each person while at the same time investing in training and Development of Employees.

great company to work for management were helpful and easy to work with.everyone was part of one team and treated equal.isolation on an island site sometimes made it hard to get parts but was just part of the chalange.ivery much enjoyed the island life

While working I was well treated while working. Accommodation is well appointed. Early starts were effecting my purchase opportunities.  Holding stock was well manged.

They promote safe work place. But I do believe that they push their machines beyond the means and put it on the operator when they break down 30000+ hrs old should not be hauling above 100 tonnes unless the roads where immaculate...
