During my time at WSP I experienced a great deal of change, nevertheless I developed a large amount of knowledge and career development. 

Whilst my time there I never had a typical day however my main roles were:

−	Managing all company major events and campaigns from beginning to completion, including event planning, communication plans, organising promotional marketing, coordinating guest lists, managing budgets, conducting event surveys and delivering post event communication
−	Managing all branding and all group external communications
−	Developing strategic marketing and communication plans 
−	Producing marketing materials such as company brochures, presentations, capability statements, supporting briefs and on-line information.
−	Handling all media relations, including producing press releases, researching, forming media contacts and dealing with inquiries
−	Maintaining company website and social media including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Blog and You Tube sites. 
−	Managing sponsorship negotiations 
−	Sourcing and producing articles for external communications such as e-newsletters, using a CRM system
−	Regular liaising with the press, partner organisations and other stakeholders

Looking after all incoming and outgoing documents/drawings.
Liaising with Manila to ensure documents/drawings were drafted in time for customers.
I learnt a lot at WSP, I hadn't worked in that position before working there and was shown every aspect of that job. I learnt how to read drawings that were being sent for drafting to Manila. I learnt how important it is in that industry to ensure that all documents are superseded and up to date no matter what.
My manager and everybody in my team were a delight to work with. I only left this position as I was seeking a job that was paying more.
The hardest part of my job would have been the beginning when I was learning the way in which they done everything there.
The most enjoyable part of my job was when work was very consistent and we all worked as a team to ensure drawings we uploaded and sent out in time.

Not so good:
I found myself doing a lot of unpaid overtime, often because it was to fix other people’s mistakes and there was no budget left on the project. 
They claim to have a graduate program but in my experience this was just 4 webinars over a year or so that were super high level and weren’t worth dialling into, especially when you had real work that needed doing and didn’t want to be stuck at work late. 
I hardly felt like I could take a lunch break during one of our major projects for at least a year because my manager had oversold the team’s capabilities and the client had unrealistic expectations. 

Pretty good:
Due to the types of clients there are unique opportunities for work on site which you wouldn’t normally get at a pure play consultancy. 

One-dimensional culture favoring a single gender. Managets play favourites. If you're not one of the boys, no promotion, likely to be let go. Limited career progression opportunities for women. Diversity and inclusion are noticeably lacking. The company prioritizes profits over people, and if you're not deemed profitable, you're likely to be let go. They're aggressively hiring to staff up with low-cost consultants, but retention is based on profitability. Redundancies are common. The work environment is impersonal and inhumane, with no regard for work-life balance or company culture.

You're on your own. Everyone is too busy and stressed to help. Some are angry. WSP is buying up smaller companies but can't manage them. Several staff haven't been paid expenses, sometimes totalling thousands. You have to jump through hoops to get any help, and sometimes there's just no help. 

You'll feel ignored and undervalued. There are people willing to help but they are limited by the Big Mess. You'll get weekly emails from the owners telling you what a great company it is, and all it's successes and new acquisitions, but they don't even know what is going on, or if they do they're too wealthy and busy to care. 

Strongly recommend looking elsewhere!

Lovely company and lovely people.  Everyone is friendly, professional people and everyone works well together even under pressure.  Management is approachable and helpful.  Working hours are flexible.  This is one of the very few companies I have worked at where you receive recognition for your work.

The company buys out a lot of other smaller competitors and has ended up  being a large mix of different companies.

Work life balance is good, allowing work from home and normal hours. Work is flexible and people are generally good.

It’s a big company, and you’ll experience similar things to other big companies. Smaller pay increases, higher ups are a bit slow to react, and bullying isn’t necessarily dealt with properly by superiors.

I was employed at WSP for 3 months as a civil engineer in Adelaide. It was the worst team I have ever worked for as I was thrown in the deep end without support and guidance. Prior to commencement, I was promised a lot of things. It was just talk from the interviewers. Very lacking in people’s skills, no empathy, lack of ethics and understanding. Definitely don’t recommend anyone to work for WSP.

I really happy working in WSP since I started my job. 
Collaborative team, friendly workplace, nice to approach work group team. 
I’m hired from recruiters for my position so the payment is not come from WSP so the salary isn’t really fair for IT Team. 

However, I really happy to work with WSP.
