I worked as a cook at this establishment for some time, and overall I would describe the experience as average. The kitchen environment was fast-paced and at times quite stressful, especially during peak service hours. On the positive side, the team members were generally supportive, and I was able to improve my time management and multitasking skills. The menu was consistent, and the expectations for food quality were clear.

However, communication from management could have been better. Shift changes and roster updates sometimes happened with little notice, which made planning personal time difficult. There were also occasions when the kitchen felt understaffed, increasing pressure on everyone during busy periods.

Pay and benefits were fair for the role, but not particularly competitive compared to other venues in the area. Overall, it was a decent place to gain experience, though there is definitely room for improvement in organization and staff support.

I obviously love this job a lot because its working in a family business. I enjoy working doing roof plumbing as im into hands on work, i enjoy being outside and learning new things. 
A typical day at work, we get to work, set up the scaffolding and slowly work on the fascia and gutter. I set up brackets and stussys.
Whilst i have nothing to do im picking up left over rubbish and doing what i can. the hardest park of the job is all the lifting.
The most enjoyable part of the job is when i think that im actually helping build someones  house.

From a manager that blatantly refuses to answer any of your texts and calls and is consistently late to shifts leaving the lobby lounge unattended with lines of customers waiting confused.. to the facilities provided including a change room with 1 accessible toilet for hundreds of employees, poorly maintained break room with missing cutlery, dirty appliances , no staff meal provided and management won’t allow you to order food on your break instead making you bring your own each shift, everything was poor.

Westin is a big hospitality Industry, the Westin Kitchen full of people from all over the world. it's been fun working at Westin, I made a lot of friends there. from day 1 they trusted me in making some recipe at Westin Kitchen. pastry chef de party let us learn by experience, she is a cool Lady who runs Westin pastry kitchen for 10 years. the hardest part of the job is just the quantity we produce is in a huge amount. it was difficult in the beginning but as time goes, it becomes easier.

Working here was part of my work placement therefore i was not paid. I had to opportunity to work in three different kitchens which was great experience. Due to the clash of different personalities the warm and welcoming environment was not there. However as its a high star hotel and constantly busy its understandable.

While working at The Westin Perth I have learned that housekeeping is not easy and requires a lot of time and patience. In a typical day you will have around 5 or more rooms to clean in around 30mins each plus some rooms to service. Although it is a hard job that is not for everyone I've enjoyed working every minute of it so far.

Assisting financial planners in daily administrative work. Communicating with product providers, customers, medical providers and appointments and reports.

What I have to say about this company is not worth going into, HR was horrible and continued to let myself be harassed by people talking about me being Gay and I was the one who got called into HR office.

its good for short term but for a long term career its not that recommended, but for working visa its good place and to gather and practice your skills

Terrible uniforms, terrible pay, no benefits, out of touch managers. I cannot believe that anyone would last long in this role as it was totally demeaning, I regret having worked there.
