Have been working for Westhaven for five years. My voice is still unheard after five years of loyal service, the company still can not meet my contract hours of 60hrs per fortnightly basis. I am a permanent part-time employee and i still have to pick up extra first in first served shift to fill my hours, so i can financially support for my family.  The inconsistent is so draining, constantly asked to fill shifts last mintue. HR/ peoples and culture are non existence if you need help, Only hearing from them if they think you have done something wrong, Zero support or communication at all. Client/ participants are neglected and treated like a number, as are staff. Constantly hiring new staff without proper training or accountability, you do a couple of buddy shifts, then thrown into the deep end. Very high turned over of staff, including constant changes with in management, new team leaders every 6 to 12months, sometimes less. Having to start all over again each time management changes. No key workers for participant to help create a consistency in care. They dont know from one shift to next who is coming to their homes,Participants refusing shifts due to this issue and just not receiving a service that builds their capacity

There is opportunity for Reasonable earning potential if you have capacity for long hours

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very poor workplace culture.. rampant bullying 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very bad bullying is the norm 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Supporting challenging service users with little support from management and some very sub standard colleagues

Beautiful place to put your experience. I've learned so many ways to look after disabled people (clients) looking forward to do studies in community services.
