Difficult with rosters, low staffing numbers, and cultural negativity within management.  Some bullying exists, upward, downward, and lateral.
Overall, however, much can be gained by focussing on client outcomes and their wellbeing.  Being an advocate for outcomes has a moderating effect on the negative issues, and that is where the reward is.

A wholly pleasant experience, compared to commercial businesses. You can take a back seat and relax. The teams think they're working really hard and have no time, but really they're just inefficient. If you're an efficient operator but want a little rest or break, check these guys out :). You'll get your work done in a day and have the other 4 to chill.

Great team to work with in WA Country Health. Great diverse caseload and exposure to multiple types of clients; variety of in-patients, out-patients and community.
Working in the Gascoyne provided opportunities to travel, experience remote practices and collaborate with the full primary health team.

It’s challenging in its own right. You need to have resilience and be dynamic . Changeover of staff is a given and causes issues for staff and clients alike. Red tape is everywhere and reforms take ages. Take initiative and you may get caught out. Be accountable and through and seek help if needed

I learnt a lot I had projects to start, understanding taking minutes, wonderful people, hardest part there was nothing except the lifts, Just people believing in me an saccepting, kindness and lovely atmosphere

Great work colleagues and working environment. Good pay but can be frustrating when programs dont work. Some lack of understanding of policies that don't apply to every hospital.
