Video Ezy

I had worked before in other jobs, but working at Video Ezy had been a goal and when I was offered the job, I was very thankful. All my co-workers and managers were great to work with and very welcoming. They trained me in such a way that I was ready and comfortable within no time at all. At this job I learnt so much about Customer service, as well as working in an environment with only a few other employees. I even became confident to open and close the store on my own. Sometimes I was faced with difficult customers, but I just saw the situations as a learning curve, and if I was ever too worried or concerned, my manager was always willing to help out if I needed to call them.
I have made some life-long friends by working at Video Ezy, and will always remember it as being one of the best jobs I've had.

A typical day at Video Ezy consists of completing jobs, serving people and either opening or closing the shop. the work environment is positive and staff members work really well as a team, keeping the shop clean. up to date and most staff keeping availability open to fill in if needed. there are not really any cons to the job apart from dealing with angry customers who received late fees, but the job is 85% customer service so that is expected. the most enjoyable part of working at video ezy is building a rapport with customers who out of the job you may never have talked to. we get people from all different ages and backgrounds which keeps the job interesting and means you can learn so much in just a five minute conversation.

I worked as a junior team member which entailed till duties, assistance in opening and closing the store handling customer complaints and enquiries, answering phone calls, holding reservations, computer networking, store organisation, handling and counting cash etc. 

I learnt and gained a lot of confidence in this role in the context of working with customers to enjoy work retail. However the management changed and the workplace become a more negative atmosphere which influenced my leave. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was the involvement of my passion for film and literature, I could act on my knowledge of film to benefit customers in store.

Video ezy was a great place to work, i had a lot of fun. On a typical day we would do general cleaning duties, put DVDs and games back on the shelves, help customers with movie enquirers and assist them in finding what they were looking for, process movies and games through our computers, EFT and cash handling and customer enquires. All of the staff and management team were wonderful to work with. The most enjoyable part about my job was processing the new release movies and putting them out on the shelves, the hardest part of my job would have to be the people that outstanding movies, games or money most people would argue no matter what or how it was explained.

I loved working here. This was my first retail position. I love customer service. From chatting to customers about their day, how I could help them to even cleaning shelves. I had so much fun at this job. My typical shift was opening or closing the store, preparing the till, returning dvd's from after hours shute, stocking shelves, fridge and snack racks. I would also enter new movies into system and place on shelves, greet customers and on occasion do banking. The hardest part of my job here was dealing with difficult and sometimes abusive customers, but I rose to the challenge. The best part of my job was laughing and chatting with customers.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time with Video Ezy.  Unfortunately, technology has all but made these fun family places extinct. Over the years I not only developed fantastic relationships with customers but was able to watch our younger team members grow and achieve success.  We were lucky enough to have a fantastic long term team who worked very well together.
Sometimes the hours were long and the work demanding but the pros outweighed the cons by far.

I had a total of three bosses at Video Ezy and all of them were great people who looked after their employees not only in their work life but also in their personal life. I had many responsibilities here and sometimes felt like a manager when I was on shift. It got to the point where I was training Junior staff and opening and closing the store. The last boss, and the woman responsible for buying out the store would listen to my ideas and actually made an effort to make it happen. It was a great environment.

A typical day at work, is always giving good customer service, i generally work on my own so there is minimal interaction with co-workers on a day to day basis, the most enjoyable part of my job is interacting with all of the customers. My co-workers are friendly and are always a good support, and interact well with people of all ages. 
I dont find a hard part in my job, its busy at times, but any job has it spurts throughout the day.

This store is friendly and provides a good service to its customers and staff. It is only small but has a lot to offer, shifts vary from very busy to very quiet. Customers are rarely rude or impatient and are a pleasure to serve. All co-workers are wonderful to work with and brilliant to talk to, regarding both work and personal issues.

A typical day at Video Ezy is serving customers, returning DVDs and performing cleaning duties. 
I learned many skills while working their, such as good customer service skills. 
Management was great, efficient and effective. 
My co-workers were disciplined, fun and hard working.
The hardest part about my job was having to deal with rude customers, this was also the least enjoyable part of my job.
