A typical day at Valspar would involve managing all the calls for NSW, Blacktown and overlap for Western Australia.

Mail, couriers, and meeting room management must be done in a timely manner with no errors.

Updating of the office personnel list would be regularly updated and uploaded to our intranet.

No two days are the same,  it can be feast or famine so good time management is a must.

I learned to management myself and pick up systems quickly.

Interaction from cleaner to senior management is something I am very comfortable dealing with.  

Our workplace culture was always friendly and hard working.

Hardest part of the job was getting paperwork done quickly for all the formalities in sending flameable paint via couriers if time was short.  To achieve this requirement, I would do a lot of pre-planning.

The most enjoyable part of my role was meeting the deadlines in a seamless effort as well as a nice friendship with staff.

Hired as a casual working 35 hours a week average. Sometimes you're let go due to lack of work load and some overtime because there are lots to do.

People are great where I work. It's not hard to Pick Pack, and those who just don't fit are let go within few days after their hiring. I've lasted a few months, learned few roles around the warehouse and earned some respect for the quality of my work.

It's like most places, money is good to have but if you're not happy at the workplace you're not going to last long. Luckily we have a lot of good people where I work and although the pay is average I stay for the happy mindset.

Working at Valspar great place to work if you're willing to put some effort into the work. It's not hard but it ain't no cruising job. You're given a few chance but if you're a casual you could be told to not come in on day two.

Interesting work in a busy manufacturing environment but unfortunately erosion of the customer base (Australian manufacturing relocating off-shore) led to reduced volumes and redundancies in recent years.

Very busy office, never a dull moment. Always something to be done and customer to call.

Currently I am enjoying working with the banking team and allocations for all direct deposits, bpays and credit card payments.

I am also enjoying reviewing new applications for customers before they are approved for opening accounts.

Enjoying reporting for my manager till a replacement is found to fill this position.

Job security is the most important things.  When a company is letting go of staff regularly and there is no career progression, staff get demotivated and anxious.  It is lovely to know on-going training is available and great staff work as a team to make a company thrive.

Living in the past , management say if we do the same thing every year , you will get the same result . They continue to do that every year them selves . Make promises and never follow through . 

Was a great place to work, however a dramatic change in management caused some changed that altered that dynamic. 
Had a good incentives program and a very strong safety culture. 
Was a small team in the store which meant e all needed to play our part to get the job done!

The people at Valspar were generally fun to work with.  They are all hardworking. Some of the managers, including mine, were hardworking and good to work with.  Overall I enjoyed working with Valspar.

Challenging work, caring management willing to ensure employees are happy at work. great communication network which is encourage throughout the entire business.

Great environment working within a collaborative team. As sales staff we were able to bounce ideas off one another and work together to increase overall sales whilst working within the store network also
