I worked at V&V Walsh for nearly 3 years and they never offered me permanent, I was casual the whole time not getting paid leave and working 12 hours a day. You aren't allowed to sit down you can't bring water in with you and the fountains are only in like 2 areas. The days start early and finish late, there are constant breakdowns and they can last hours at a time even multiple times a day.

To work in a meat factory is not such a easy job, we work at early in the morning with bloody sheeps, process around 3000 sheeps every day but luckily I can work with many lovely co-worker, I've always enjoyed my job there, and all of supervisors are very kind, I spent 10 month in there, that's really unforgettable thing in my Australia life.

I am happy working in this company as my first job in Australia since 2008 to present. I am grateful that my family and me had already arrived in this country thru their sponsorship from our country of origin Philippines. Since my kids are getting older now, I am still looking for a new job which I can support to my kids to their college / uni education.

start at 5:30am
sharpen knifes 
6:00am I go up to slaughter floor
6-9.30am flanking and skinning sheep
9.30-10.00 smoko and sharpen knifes
10.00-12.45  flanking and skinning sheep
12.45-1.15 lunch break
1.15-3.00  flanking and skinning sheep
3.00 go home

It’s good if you need a job and you’re okay with very repetitive work. Be prepared to work in a noisy environment. Early starts and hours may vary throughout the year. Gets busy around the end of the year. Rarely gives out permanent roles even to those who have worked there for years and have expressed interest.

hated my time there had so much to offer but feel as though didnt get the chance to show myself and my capabilities. boss seemed to know iot all even though he was never there.

Great place for high school students and backpackers as this job offers great stability and good shift hours. Does require some physical work and fast paced workplace. Lunch breaks are a good length and hygiene standards are top quality.

You would think as I was a new employee at the time that the the supervisor/manager would actually come and talk to you to see how you were going and handling the job.

Hard work environment good irople fun family environment good for u too do something for she spare cash after hours or tofilk in time if u get bored easily like me

it's good workplace but I need more money for my family. because now is slowdown in v&v walsh . that's way I need a extra job so I can pay all my bills and ect....
