The place here is massive 100+ tables to run and serve for. The decor and vibe here is uplifting and positive. However, the work culture here was shocking. Little to no support as a new person. There is no soap here to wash your hands as a FOH waitress. Only water then after you wash your hands there hand sanitiser. Another thing I was surprised about was that they did not even check for a photo of my RSA and just took my word for it.
My Trial shift went on 2 hour. the duration how long the ‘trial’ was supposed to be was not clearly outlined until I asked after 40 minutes had went past. From my own personal experience there were no supervised work when I was ‘working’. Only pointing and saying what to do in THE FIRST 15 mins. I was not supervised for my trial shift and was doing my own thing in the 2 hours. lucky, I am switched on and take initiative. But even so there was 0 support & guidance. I brought this up to the manager and he said yeah it’s fast paced you don’t get much guidance and agreed. for example I wasn’t shown how to hold plates a certain way. Overall, great decor, vibes and the menu seems very tasteful but I don’t recommend working here from my experience.

Work life balance does not exist. They advertise casual rates from $30 however not a single member of staff is on this rate of pay. All FOH staff are put on a part time contract earning $24 an hour this does not match the effort and work the staff do each day. Really hard to get a day off during the weekend sometime I would ask 3 weeks in advance and still be told no. I didn’t stay here long all staff were extremely unhappy and were clearly being taken advantage of. If the pub was quiet you would be put on a 90minute break only to work 1 more hour after that. Very money and numbers focused staff happiness is never a priority.

All casual staff are put on a part time contract earning $23 an hour even if they work 30+ hours a week. The job descripción wage is deceptive. I applied as a bartender but was immediately placed on the floor which is fine but in 5 months I was never able to work on the bar. I have no work life balance and if I want a weekend day off I have to ask a month in advance and I'm still told no. I like the fastpaced environment but the wage does not match the work done.

As a full time, they will give you a decent amount of salary, by the time you start work, minimum of 44 work weeks. No weekend offs, unless you ask for pto. No time in lieu in excess of 38 hours. 

Theres no difference between easy days and busy days, they still put the same amount of people in. Management doesn't care as long as they stay within the budget and ignore fairworks laws. Now the annual salary they proposed at the start isnt nearly enough nor near the actual salary if you got paid hourly.

Just dont even

always arriving to see chefs hard at work keeping a good balance of work and play. ensuing all food is kept at appropriate temperatures and a quality product is delivered to the customer.

i was promised 30 hours a week and then given about 5. the staff turnover is crazy, managers/owners when i was working there were unprofessional and rude

i was on the lowest wage per hour as a 30 year old. it was 18 per hour. And they promised that i would be on bar but i ended up on floor shifts the whole time.
Extremely micro managey and toxic environment to work

- did not respect a casual employees life apart from the workplace, some of the senior management does not respect employees at all, does not support or help, does not pay well enough for the amount of work that goes in

Toxic work environment, tons of gossip from management.
NO penalty rates.
Bottom line is profit and that's it.
They do not care about employees here, even the ones that have been there for years.

beautifully decorated workplace filled with staff who care about the job and are all good friends. good wages, and staff benefits. a great environment to work in day to day.
