What is the best part of working at the company?
Location was lovely. People nice enough. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most unorganised and most stressful job I’ve ever had. I have never felt more undervalued in my life… so many unhappy pepper trying to to do their best and with little to no support from management. One of the worst jobs I’ve ever had. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment and culture was terrible, but our team made the best of it. 
They have constant “restructuring” over everyone’s head and no one feels as ease ever. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No one day was the same. One day would be a curve ball from one school department and the next from another. Nothing is planned and everything is demanded. Really difficult. Primary reason I left, constant state of anxiety isn’t good for me.

Review shift logs from previous shifts
Ensure all software programs are operational
Ensure that all Fire Indicator Panels are operational
Review CCTV and access control software
Interact with contractors on a daily basis
Good co-workers to work with
Ever changing environment.  Each day was different. 
Hardest part of the job:  Receiving phone calls at night from on shift security guards to give advice or be advised of incidents that occurred.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Lovely campus, small class sizes 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Expectation of what sessional staff are capable to do with minimal training or orientation support 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Authoritarian   With managers dictating  decisions without consultation with staff 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lecture 8-10am 
tutorials  10-12 noon 1-3 pm and 3-5pm

This university provides excellent opportunities and the staff and student provide a fantastic support structure. The library has excellent resources. A typical day involved study (both face to face and independent) and Lectures and tutorials. The most difficult aspect of university life was the stress when deadlines approach however the university provide amazing help services.

I wasn't employed and working for wages at the University, rather I am including my education as experience gained. I was involved in several projects and gained valuable knowledge in conducting wildlife surveys and processing data. The most enjoyable part was seeing how many projects were being performed around campus, and knowing I was involved with some and making on-the-ground impacts. I would definitely recommend studying and working for the University.

This job is a platform for me to build a strong network of employers in the field of social services and social work in particular. 
I have been enjoying the team work among all my colleagues and I really appreciate the approachable nature of my supervisor who guides me in my professional and personal development.
I am grateful to the management who offers me a lot of opportunities to grow as a young graduate with lots of skills and experiences.

There is no much vision, value, common sense, strategy, consistency, and much poor management. Unfortunately, the financial situation of this university is getting worse especially in the pandemic period, and the executive team members are wasting their time and resources without strategic plans. No wonder not much motivated and dedicated students want to study there.  

I learned that not all bees can sting you and that they are going extinct. The people I worked with were great and encouraging when we had to walk 2km to the site carrying heaving tubs of equipment, the best part was watching two bee colonies fight over a nest. I also took care of my niece while we worked, she also enjoyed it.

Good lecturers and facilities. If you want to excel you can stand out at USC more than at the bigger universities.  If you get in the top few students, you will be compared in the top few at any university. Classes are small so you get to know the lecturers who are great.

Working at the sunshine coast university allowed me to interact with students on a personal level and as a student myself I was able to understand where they were coming from and was able to assist them a lot better. I was given the chance to work in a couple of areas which also allowed my skills to be boarded.
