United Cinemas

Some of my best memories come from my time working at United Cinemas. For a first job it's great. I deeply loved the team I worked with and genuinely found the work there so fun. 

There were a lot of staff there, and there was definitely toxicity among some members. But most have left now. Regardless of that, some phenomenal people worked/work there, and they are really what makes it so good to work there.

Management is well meaning but could definitely be improved. There was lots of potential for the cinema but it was allowed to decay. However, they were very accomodating for work/life balance and fair with hours. They reward effort, potential and improvement.

Overall this is a very good company to work for and a fantastic option for a first job.

Whilst working at this workplace, I have learned how to handle busy situations, serving agitated customers and general workplace knowledge. 

A typical day at work would be serving customers, handing drinks and popcorn, occasionally answering the phone, and handling the cash register. 

The management wasn't the best as all staff felt as they were treated unfairly,  such as the manger unwilling  to follow the workplace rules.

There was nothing within this workplace that I found difficult. The most enjoyable part of working would be serving customers and working within a friendly team.

A brief but enjoyable stint. Ideal for the introverted individual that keeps to himself as he scans the 8 cinemas and halls, searching for leftover popcorn, wrappers, drinks and various left behind possessions of the patrons of the venue.

Working at united cinemas as a construction labourer was a great experience i was able to grow my skill set and experiences to a great extent. i was also able to meet great people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

United Cinemas: The Edge has consistently been a good workplace throughout my time there. The management attempts to balance employee satisfaction and customer service to the best of their abilities.

United Cinemas is a great place to work if you're young and need some money. There are a lot of young people working there which is great. The workload isn't too much but for me personally, it wasn't my thing.

The management team are really quite horrible to their employees. However pay is quite good and it is flexible around uni/school. The employees are all kind.

manager is difficult to get along with and some senior staff is also difficult to cooperate with. job overall is relatively easy especially for school kids or uni students.

Great people, learned how a construction site operates and what the role of a labourer is. Management was good there was a good availabilty in shifts and overall was an enjoyable job.

I did work experience here for my school it was always fun I had good hours 8am to 2pm and my duties were to mainly clean the cinemas I wish I was able to work for them completely cause it is highly recommended
