My experience working for Tradewind Australia has been an extremely positive one.  Since day one, I have felt valued, supported and have been able to work autonomously to achieve my roles key deliverables.

I choose to work most days in the office due to the great team we have here. It also helps that there is a great 'vibe' amongst the team, making it fun and enjoyable to come to work.

Having worked at Tradewind for almost a decade now, I can confidently say Tradewind is the best employer I have worked for. 

Starting as a junior recruiter, I have progressed my career into Team Leader positions across both the Education and Social Services sector. I am now in a management position responsible for the training and development of all internal employees. 

I have met some of my best friends at this workplace. The senior management team have been nothing but supportive and have helped me progress so much. The opportunities that have been made available to me through Tradewind have absolutely contributed to the person I am today. 

Our culture is all about improvement. Whether it is 1% or 0.5% there is always something we can do better. It is embedded in our culture through regular 1 on 1s with your manager, and through ongoing training and development. 

I am so grateful to have stumbled across the ad 10 years ago for an education recruitment consultant, even if the 6.30am starts initially put me off, haha. (This is only one of the roles available here by the way!)

Typical day at work involves business development, candidate attraction, phone screens, interviews and client meets. Lots of training and support provided and management have a relaxed management style but high expectations, however clear pathway on how to achieve it. Work culture is one of the best I've been at. Most enjoyable part of the job is working in recruitment but still making a difference to peoples lives and helping them secure work.

They are flexible, offer plenty of work if you want it, the staff are fair and always do their best to work with you and your lifestyle, preferences with teaching, etc. They have a very organised system with job availabilities, you can use a app to notify of the days you can't work and they won't call. They will also offer lots of work through the app, some jobs are offered to the public so 'first in best dressed' and others are offered personally to you - so there is plenty of work. They will also always send notifications and information about current and future contract opportunities for various schools and positions.

Its been a couple of weeks since l joined Tradewind, I was promised work and also told positive stories about some of the new employed stuff about how the recently started getting loads of work, I  though wow how amazing, l was wrong. There was no communication or update, I made the effort to call and find out if they had found me any work but told they would contact me if they found a job. If you had been honest and just told me you have no work that would had been fine. I am very disappointed with the service provided by Tradewind, you have failed to deliver your promise. Lesson here is don't put your eggs in one basket.

The administrative staff are courteous and flexible, frequently checking in on our progress and workload. However, working with schools can be unpredictable at times, as shifts may get cancelled, disrupting our planned schedule for the day.

I ended up changing teaching agencies so that I could work with Tradewind, and it was the best decision I made! Tradewind got me more work and the majority of the work was at secondary schools, which was my preference. I felt like they were a lot more accommodating and a lot easier to work with compared to other agencies I've used in the past.

Large and widespread access to schools, but not too big that the area coordinators do not know who you are.

We have opportunities to network within the company and attend Professional Development during school holidays.

The Tradewind app is excellent it gives you plenty of information about the school you are going to including contacts, bell times and directions to get there.

I have had the opportunity to advance my skills and experience in teaching thanks to Tradewind.  I have worked in a variety of schools and developed relationships with the schools through repeat referrals and requests.  

Tradewind staff are always polite and professional and I consider the experience as important to my teaching.

As a casual worker I want to ability to work occasionally or when I need to supplement my income.
Tradewind offers a no pressure environment and plenty of freedom to work according to my own fluctuating schedule.
