Topgolf

When starting, I loved this job because of the high amount of hours provided with a laid back and fun sense of work. However, after completing 6 months at topgolf, I noticed my hours were reduced dramatically and I am now struggling to get shifts. When applying for the job, I was promised a minimum of 15 hours a week but now I only receive 5-10 hours a week. This seems to be the case of many fellow employees I've spoken to. However, this is not the case for all of us. The new people at the job are getting a multitude of hours and some up to 38 hours a week. While the experienced people are getting shoved to the side. I spoke with my manager about my hours and they said that I had to share my hours. Share hours? What can I share when I'm barely scraping by while new employees are racking it in. Also, you are paid by age and not by experience. So if really good worker who's been there since they were 16 and are currently 18,  they will be paid $21.35 an hour but on the other hand you could have an employee who has been there less than 3 months and that doesn't have the same experience, they will be paid upwards of $28 per hour for doing the same job but in a worse way. Would recommend for 3 months but do not work there for more

A very diverse workplace in terms of everyone you meet, the vast departments that you can be cross-trained into and the opportunities that are available in terms of moving up the ladder. Been working at Topgolf since it opened and there have been ups and downs, but as long as you do your job correctly there are plenty more ups for sure. I have mainly worked in back of house for the majority of my time here but I can say that I have made such great lifelong friends working here. Each day is always something new and exciting. I know many people who may difference in opinions about Topgolf but I understand their complaints. I have experienced the same things that others talk about in their reviews on this site but nothing to the full extent of it. It's a great place to work at if you're young and you're looking to build your skillset. 

I've always said that Topgolf is a good place to work at to find what industry suits you, as each department is a peek into various real world industries.

Some staff were not friendly while most were. It is a very relaxed job where you do not have much to do all the time. There is not really any professional development opportunity and it is a job just to get young people mainly through uni. Saying that, it is also a good second job. The hours are very inconsistent - one week will have 5 days a week and the next 1 without any prior notice. They are also inconsistent with their employee benefits of free game play. One day it is free the next they will make you pay without any notice which I found really unfair.

I haven’t had too many jobs but this has to be my favourite by far. It is very fast paced but everyone works as a team and is so helpful. You can always ask if you need anything or are unsure. Genuine group of people and management are very kind and not over bearing at all. They tell you what they need from you and it gets done! There isn’t full time work but if you work your way up you can definitely get some consistent hours. Only issue is on your feet a lot and it starts to hurt after a while. Other than that i’d so recommend!! Learned a lot of new skills here.

Top golf is a fast pace environment.
Within the company there are many learning and personal development opportunities.
The workplace culture is like a home and we pride ourselves on being “One team” kinda like a family.
From what I’ve expected the hardest part about working at top golf is the customers but that can be said for any hospitality position.

To many staff members to do one job,, under payed, mangers don't care about the workers, there is no job growth unless you are a family member off a management team, my opinion is don't work for village rd show at all, you want to work at a theam park go to dream world,, stay away 

It’s all right it’s just hospo. not a lot of support and some people are hard to work with and nothings done. but it’s ok. I would want some more recognition and better break conditions cus 20 minutes is not long enough on a 9 hour shift. and higher pay

Lovely place to work.
Other staff were always friendly and willing to help, management was generally good, food was delicious, uniforms were comfortable and staff discount was great.

TopGolf was a cool place to work like most jobs you run into some issues but overall it’s a good job. 
From the associates to the guest it was a dope environment.
Usually I wouldn’t even do a review of a previous employer

Staff are awesome, job is fun & overall great place to be. 
Atmosphere is unlike any place I've been, guests see us having a great time working and wish they could be apart of it.
