If you are not Australian, it can be a significant disadvantage with some of your coworkers. If you are a casual employee, you can become an easy target if you make a mistake (such as taking drinks or merchandise home when these are allowed for everyone). There is also a lack of training.


There is a noticeable ego-oriented attitude among some people at Live Nation (on the second and/or third floors), while Ticketmaster is on the ground floor.

They don’t give you an explanation about when your shifts may be decreasing, and don’t be surprised if you suddenly have no more shifts and no one has informed you about this.


The workplace is great overall, aside from these issues. The team leaders are generally okay; some are approachable, while others stick strictly to what their managers say and do not show much support.


 


A day where staff came into work at various times even though they should have started at 9.00am.
Staff eating meals at desk, on the internet and mobile phones booking holidays and purchase of items on line. taking off to the gym.
Not filling in a leave form.
Lack of communications from Managers.
Not enough training for staff on new software.
Management poor.
Dealing with Managers who turn a blind eye to what is going on in the work place, because they are doing the same thing.
The people who are not in Managers roles.

• Point of sales at a variety of theatres, exhibitions and sporting venues around Sydney, NSW, Australia,
• Assisting customers to purchase tickets for current and upcoming shows and sporting events using Ticketmaster’s operating system,
• Working at shows and concerts, helping patrons with the collection of purchased and lost tickets efficiently,
• Working to a flexible roaster pattern, including evenings and weekends, across the NSW state,
• Balancing ticket sales daily.

Was really awesome working there . perks of getting free tickets to some events were well worth it !
I would work there again for sure but maybe in a new department to learn new skills. Hardest part was dealing with disputes but what job doesn't have to deal with that. I learned a little bit of data entry and admin plus experience and learn new bands/shows and events that were up and coming. management was okay , needed improvement in some areas but I'm sure it has progressed since I have worked there.

busy and stressful 7-hour shifts with often rude and inappropriate encounters with customers, however, has an amazing pay and gives you free entry into events, which is absolutely awesome.
management is so welcoming and kind, the most enjoyable part of the job is to please customers with our services.

These guys make you wait until the next pay cycle if they 'forget' to pay you. After I made a complaint about my supervisor they have held my pay and some travel expenses for more then 2 weeks and counting forcing me to contact the Fair Work Ombudsman.

It can be quite exhausting taking a high volume of calls. The pay is good for casual staff but I have been told it is not great for full-timers or managements. There is occasional free lunches/snacks and a ping-pong table.

Management is least supportive, no growth plan or prospects.
No processes or clearly defines goals.
No trust in employees ability to perform
No training plans or job related trainings.

Seasonal position.
Work was very interesting and the people who work at the Royal Easter Show come from a wide range of backgrounds. Interesting to meet exhibitors; staff; members; and volunteers.

All colleagues that work for Ticketmaster always have something to do to keep busy during a shift, even when it may not be quiet when serving customers.
