If I could give this company 0 stars I would! this is by far the worst company I have ever worked for, very poor management skills, under pays there employees and most importantly hires staff that harass other staff members!!!

 This place is just literally all over the place, they way it's run is ridiculous. Having short staff all the time because they want to "save money" so therefore they make the CHEF run there own food out to the customers, clean and clear tables... meanwhile that's not even a chef's duties!!!
I think this company needs to reevaluate on there positions duties and learn what hospitality really is.  

This place clearly needs to start all over and head back to the drawing board because clearly they have NO IDEA on how to run a Cafe/Restaurant! I've worked in Restaurants for a very long time and I've never seen an establishment run this horrible!! 

I give good luck to whoever decides to work for this company because they are going to need it!

When head office took over management it was the worst. 1.5-5 hour shifts max, the owners use the sons to work instead of staff, no communication, owners while working act above everyone and are always outside on their phones until they want to come in and do what they want. the owner/acting manager is a psycho, treats you like her child when speaking (unprofessional and emotion when punishing). new owners will not get any information and always say I've been busy so they couldn't talk to other management (they live together). one employee working per shift slot so we have to do everything. they will not help and make you close both front and back alone. 90% of the staff have quit or looking for new jobs. I don't even know how much my rate was.

Was hired as a barista yet not once was I given the opportunity to do it, so disappointed as I was very enthusiastic and excited but wasn’t working for what I was hired for. Given the expectation of 25 hours per week yet I barely got 3 (and underpaid). There were some absolutely wonderful workers but also some who would belittle me and were so rude e.g. getting asked to do a task and then as I was doing it, getting forcefully yanked to stop (I had a bruise on my arm for about a week). Unfortunately management and communication were horrendous and needs so much work. Proper training wasn’t given and was overall the worst place I have ever worked at.  I truly wish I could give it a better review but I can’t.

•	Maintained table settings by removing courses, replacing utensils and refilling beverages promptly and courteously
•	Kept server areas clean and stocked to increase efficiency while serving tables
•	Cleaned outdoor eating area and indoor dining room by wiping tables, placing trash in receptacles and restocking napkin dispensers
•	Collected credit card, cash and gift certificate payments from customers and made proper change for cash transactions
•	Loaded trays with accessories, including eating utensils, napkins and condiments
•	Served food/drinks/coffee to customers

A typical day at work consists of waiting tables, washing dishes, preparing food and beverages and collecting items from the store room. I learned about how to serve people, make different types of foods and beverages, work as a part of a team. The management is great, the bosses are easy to talk to and are happy to help with anything that is needed. Co-workers are very friendly and give assistance when needed. The hardest part of the job is bringing out everything efficiently when the place is busy. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people.

Working at the coffee emporium geelong has been an awesome experience. the staff are all super friendly and so are all the regular customers! it is a very relaxed environment and most staff manage to handle the busy times quite well which means a stress free environment!!
Through the quiet times of the year the shifts do cut down quite a bit.
Other than that i have really enjoyed my time working here!

Working in a cafe will always be fast paced but the owners have great management and have wonderful personalities, and so there is never a bad day. I learned about the important connection between staff and customers at this workplace, as there were many regulars who came through who were very lovely.

Poor management, didn't know how to speak to employees or customer. Didn't know how to train properly.
Overall terrible. 
Only worked there for 3-4 months, wasn't trained properly and was expected to do everything without proper training.
A few people who worked there were really lovely other then that.  I wouldn't recommend working there !

It was good to work as Barista at Coffee Emporium. Enjoyed my profession as a barista there. Salary was also good with amiable environment. Management of Coffee Emporium is also very great and it was very fun to work there.
