The British Army

They taught us to be tolerant, skillful, mentally strong, very alert, physically strong. Apart from hard times, we learned to accept and be friends with our comrades from different cultural backgrounds. The most enjoyable part of the job was traveling and seeing the world.

A typical day would start with physical trainning and parade . Learned discipline and pushing oneself to achieving our goals. Workplace culture would be the military ethics. The hardest part of the job would be going on tours and leaving family behind. The most enjoyable part would be the comradeship we shared.

Start with parade and roll call. After that then you either going to do your training or sorting out stuff in the Shed. Good time management skills and good workplace cultures. We play together, eat together and sleep together in shared accomodation. Snow shovelling all fun.

Very discipline force that encourages the values, being team work, integrity, honesty, commitment and comradeship.

Culture was very valuable and important.

A force that trains good leadership and management skills

In becoming a port operator you receive a wide range of licences snd a great way to travel the world.
So much to see and so much to do. There is never a dull day working as a port operator.

Loved my time in the army.
Did an apprenticeship and got a trade.
Basic training was hard but its meant to be.
The older u r when u join the quicker you get promoted.
Great bunch of lads.

Loved the training and the working together as team players.

Taking direction from peers and learning from involvement with others.

Happy to join in and get amongst it as they say and not afraid to get my hands dirty.

Good work environment and friends. Salary is alright most of the time you are doing not very much. The opportunity to trade transfer or upskill is always an option if you do not like your first choice.

Everyday was different, great physical training and team work.
time away can be tasking 7 months at a time. the hardest part of the job by far is being in volatile countries

Great life, see the world , meet some good lads and women, and make friends for life who will stand by you and help you when things are good and bad..
