TechnipFMC provides a solid environment to gain hands-on experience in health and safety, particularly in a manufacturing setting. I learned a lot working with different departments. However, career progression and long-term growth may be limited depending on the role and location. While the company provides good learning opportunities, recognition for long-term contributions and employee retention could be improved. Employees who stay for extended periods may feel that their efforts are not always fully acknowledged.

The guys are experienced and good to work with.

There’s always inductions and tool box meetings concerning the scope of the job or prior to next stage.
Everybody most of the time seem happy and always watch each other’s bac when working offshore.

While the work environment was comfortable there could be tight and unrealistic time frames for job completion. Poor experience in the project management department caused no end of headaches on the workshop floor. The company is an international corporation with little respect for Australian born workers. There are departments with certain ethnic enclaves and do not aspire to be promoted to these positions. The company is presently purging itself of any quality Australian employees.

Worked on the Prelude structure and Whestone Spool installation projects. 

quite challenging operations, learned new installation and operations skills.

Working long hours and managing SIMOPS activities, subcontract management 

hardest part is lack of support from management and maintain high quality and safety standards.

Liaise with discipline engineers
Prepare tender documents for equipment and material
Many standard company procedures
Lots of meetings and reviews
Difficulty in doing the required work and attending meetings
Enjoyed subsea engineering

Finance Systems department was a fun department to be part of, I love problem solving and fixing problems.  Every day there was something different arising, that needed attention to detail.  the most enjoyable part of the job was working along side my colleagues and learning from them.

I had a great experience working with Technip FMC in West Perth. I cannot say the same about Henderson office though.
Unfortunately the merging with FMC may be a disadvantage to the Technip culture which doesn't match to the FMC.

Hopefully the merge will prevail with the Technip management.

Pre Start meeting
Supervise SMP, Coating, NDT, Lagers, Civil Contractors.
Communicate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, HSE Manager, Customer Engineers and Management.
