Caring for the beautiful clients in SIL homes and making life long friendships

Dealing with management and their inconsistency with how they handle things. Practice Leaders constantly changing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Nasty, unprofessional culture. Staff have no support from management and hate staff that speak up.

Caring for clients with a range of disabilities in all aspects of life

They are bad for staff supporting especially for working parents

Work life makes bad  which effects family life 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unstable shifts time and roaster 
Management are more task oriented and ignore support for work parents 
Policy just to show not to apply 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressfull 
Always over pressure

I learnt alot  from this job and it taught me to appreciate my own life alot more. 
Understanding people with disabilities was brought more into the fore front doing this job. 
Our customers or clients, showed you there is so much more to them when you look pass their disability and learn about their loves, likes, dislikes and just them being themselves. 
They also gave me lots of encouragement within myself. 
The job open my eyes and my heart. 

A typical day at work will be assisting the customers with daily living and capacity building exercises to improve the quality of life. 
I have learned a lot about the social barriers people with disabilities face in the community. I found that the hardest part of the job is staff  and the challenges of motivation. The most enjoyable is the customers faces when you challenge them by giving them new exciting experiences in the community.

Interactions with clients are great, staff issues must be promptly addressed but its a wonderful institution to work and can grow to even be  more better

managers care more about them selves than the people whom work for them or the people they are suppose to support. 
If you question what is happening then you become a target, i would not recommend this a supportive work place 

understaffed
overuse of agency staff
inconsistent workplace practices
divided management and frontline staff
lack of management presents
great looking company at face value, once started you see what really goes on.

Top level management took too long to make decisions on issues that directly affected the frontline staff. A more collaborative attitude between the management and staff would help

no support, leaving staff on the edge with pressure form management. not enough time given for tasks. pressure to speed up on transport. click groups leaving others out
