The only issue/difficulty I have had   working with SHCS has been with other incompetent support workers who should not be working in this industry given their lack of understanding or care for vulnerable people or other staff members. 

In my experience SHCS does its best to provide support workers to their clients who have their best interests and needs at the forefront. 
You will be looked after with this company if you are a hard worker who cares for their clients. 
The pay is reasonable and I feel well paid for what is expected from me however I have experienced a lot of staff who seem to think they don’t have to work to get paid. 

I highly recommend SHCS to people who genuinely care about the work they do.


Throughout my time at SHCS there has never been a chance for career growth or development. 
Management does not care about anything but money. You will be treated like dirt and thrown out when they are done.
Management will not take responsibility for anything. 
Will change your schedule last minute with no warning.  Usually resulting in you being late and the client then believe you are irresponsible.

My clients don't even like Management and a lot have or are looking at other services. 

It's really sad to see a company that is meant to help people appear to be pushing more people into needing help. 

There was no choice but to leave. Clients are wonderful but a lot of them should have had a risk assessment done beforehand to pair them up with an appropriately trained worker. Management reserves calls only for emergencies and otherwise does not answer. Even clients can't get through when they want to request more hours or date changes. Constantly asked to do shifts last minute even though didn't ask to be on-call. A lot of the clients you'd have to stop seeing because their NDIS money would run out due to poor budgeting on the companies behalf. Overall the problem is management who could not care less. Pay rates are all minimum.

I am lucky to find the SHCS, they will provide you the shifts according to your availability, and they get lots of good customers, you can get your available time fill with shifts easily. And their wonderful Admin team always offer you the support whenever you need. The wages are good slightly above the average.Overall I like working with SHCS , I get good money to support my life, and I can full fill my life through helping my clients, plus I have time for my family too.

I rated SHCS one star because there’s no option to leave zero. Worst company I’ve ever had to endure, minimum wages, poor management, no care for their staff or clients just money. Unsafe work practices and untrained staff, anyone gets a job in this company regardless of you have experience or not and placed with extreme high needs and unpredictable clients unsupervised. 

Friendly management team who are easy to communicate with, and are hours available if you want to work with opportunities to work with different clients to improve your skills. Training opportunities on offer. Awesome clients. 

I wouldn’t return to this company.

Ever since I have started with this company they have been nothing but supportive, helpful and very accommodating to any needs.
they have made it a very enjoyable company to be a part of.



They don’t care about their clients or employees. No communication between people in the office and clients and employees constantly being stuffed around because of this. 

Very poor management - Some staff can do some somethings, but if another does the same, they cop a hard time.

Communication is not the managers strong suit - often belittling and putting people down in a group setting.
