Learning all the different products on sale learning about different customer
And what they want by just asking several smart questions  scheduling rosters and communicating and creating an empowered team.

Having disgruntled customers that take it to the next level. Even though the whole company support their team and abusive customers all the way some customers will never change their ways but my
Comfort is peace is a priority 
learning to remain calm and not emotional is key but from time to time can displace your day.

Supportive and very helpful - reaching out for assistance is always a positive and prompt response when needed.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always two up to open the shop
Allocating task for the day completing all task as suggested and learning the skill set of the team makes for greater communication once all team know their role for the day and interacting with customers whether that be on the sales floor or  on the phone it about the vibe and usually the vibe is always energetic.
Knowing about  products about parts  and associated parts always helps. 
Doing what needs to be done to reach and achieve sales goals putting away or recovering stock is a typical
Day printing labels understanding vendor orders receipting goods its all about customer satisfaction and getting it right from the start.

The work at SRG was not what I expected as it was really challenging at first but then when I got used to the system and working really hard it just made the job a bit easier. There were times when I needed to take time off as it was due to family emergencies and the friends that I made at the work place were so friendly and understanding.
I then moved to Melbourne and I went and was working at the same company this time it was more challenging as I was on night shift and I had to train some of the new casual like myself and also made sure that they meet the standards of the work place but that still didn't land me a full time position as they were not offering any full time positions but just permanent casual.

Coming from an Employer (Shell Australia for 25 years) who crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's to a small business(Super Cheap Auto) with plenty of potential it was an exciting period in my working life, I enjoyed the "smash through" early days and the plan and execute conclusion culminating with a large chain of retail companies as Super Retail Group I was there for 10 years. Fast paced made it very easy for me to get involved in all aspects of the logistics business finally as the Groups Distribution Manager. I managed 5 distribution centres employing 460 team members picking, packing and delivering to 700 retail stores.

I quite enjoyed my time there simply because of the people. Not everyone did i get along with but most of them were very friendly. The work was basic and simple however they expect too much from people who are just new to it. Im sure not everyone that is now full time there or permanent or whatever reached the KPI every day? They could try and expect a little less i mean i don't even think the supervisors could reach the KPIs themselves but not my business. Overall yeah it went alright but not where i wanna be or see myself back there.

The most enjoyable part of the job is you can work for 8hours with peace and as long as you do your job properly with speed and accuracy and most importantly, safely, you can stay long there and work like regular employee.
The hardest part of the job is when you are already working and picking in MHE area and you get transferred to the Floor area where bulky and heavy stuffs are.

Some of the stakeholders were not enjoyable to work with at all - culture is hit and miss

Full on from start to finish due to lack of staff

Avoid unless you desperately need money, no where near enough training given even if asked for  , Thrown in the deep end to sink or swim ,customers not a priority , workplace bullying and humiliating staff is acceptable here and if anyone's back late from.a break even by a minute it is posted to the whole company in a chat for all to see. 

The Super Retail Group provides benefits that are rarely seen in other companies. They are very flexible with timetables and if you tell someone, "I work at BCF." their response is always positive - that says something. The people I work with are professional and easy-going and I have never felt confronted or unsafe in my working environment. It makes the absolute best first job!

There is always something to do working in this company, I have learned a great deal from the management and team members. The management can vary greatly depending on the store, and their personalities. The hardest part would have to be the rude and aggressive customers. The most enjoyable would have to be meeting new team members.
