Working there can be relaxed and friendly besides ignorance regarding gender and sexuality. The pay is way under legal rate so they stick to hiring people who aren't legally allowed to work and are desperate. It's very a Mens environment though this is unnecessary as they are just preparing kebabs. But that is middle-eastern culture for you. My shifts were drastically cut with zero notice after working there over 5 years for reasons that other men in my workplace get away with (and a lot worse). This made me conclude the fact my shifts were cut was due to being the only female worker and due to the managers personal issues with his wife. I was told many times when I mentioned I was tired that I "reminded him of his wife" and "whiney" simply for mentioning that I am tired while working a 10-12 hour shift (with 15-30 minutes break). They underpay you and over-work you and expect you to be grateful.

As a shop manager, I did all the salad preparation and cooked meat before open the shop. During service, I took orders and explained menu for customers. Also, I tried to remember all the regular customers' names and preferences. 
From this job, I learned time management, dealing cash, balancing till, placing order to suppliers and customer service. There were not many workers at the kebab shop, so the owner, my co-workers and I were very close. 
The biggest challenge in that job was long working hours, sometimes I need to work 13 hours a day. If some other staff was on holiday, I filled up the shift no days off for 3 weeks. On a busy day wasn’t always bad, because we get satisfaction from the sales amount at night before closing. We played a good team work and all guests were happy about food and our service. To me that was the biggest reward on busy day.

Working at Sunshine kebabs has been a good stable job; there is a higher percentage of multicultural customers and the food is seriously delicious! You will never be sick of a kebab. 
The work place can be unpredictable, ranging from very quiet to very very busy during lunch and evening hours depending.

The pay for the job is very good it is a easy job but fast paced and can be sometimes stressful when it comes to weekends and busy hours. The job is good for students as the time is flexible and pays well.

I worked there for 4 weeks and only recieved 2 weeks pay, and have now waited 3 weeks to receive final pay. Was let go due to head office apparently not being able to afford me, but they had no clue. Was a constant battle to get my wages and still is. Fair Work here I come.

Wasn't the best job for money,didnt get alot of hours. did help me alot with my peoples skill and made me feel very comfortable, great for the experience.

loved managing southside sunshine kebabs it was so great. I cant say a bad word about it.loved the great opportunity i had managing for 1 year,the  manager gee and susan were awesome.

did not feel as if it were a comfortable environment to be working there due to manager. Long hours was always hot when cooking. learned to prepare food.
