I was employed here directly after a young girl left due to being treated poorly and was suffering medical conditions. I was excited and happy to be starting work here however that excitement was short lived. 

I was spoken to like trash, belittled daily, told I was pathetic, received 30-40 messages each night from the manager in relation to work the next day at all hours of the night interfering with my work/life balance, causing excessive stress and no time to just let go of the work day.

Staff whom work here talk horribly about past employee’s and humiliate them which is very unprofessional and pathetic.

I completed all tasks as requested and was attacked for minor mistakes made, their training is absolutely shocking but expect you to grasp everything in a short period of time and if you don’t they get irritated at you and act very immaturely. 

I was given a contract but was threatened multiple times of being fired then the day my probation was up the manager fired me, prior to this I had been experiencing medical issues and needed time off. I was spoken to with such rudeness in relation to this and was told “something would need to be done to compensate his companies loses”. 

Each time I was unwell I provided ample notice and medical certificates including hospital certificates as I was admitted due to my illness, During this period of a week the manager made no communication with me other than an abrupt “Ok”.

In my duration of working here I was referred to as a child, told I couldn’t read, threatened and spoken down to daily. As someone who has been in the workforce for 5 years I know this is not how one should be treated.

When he laid me off he didn’t pay me what he owed me until I confronted him about it and when I called him I then was hung up on because he was “too busy”. When I required a separation certificate Centerlink called him and he refused to do a verbal over the phone, very childish and spiteful throughout the whole process clearly trying to delay everything, then lied on the separation certificate that he sent via post trying to make me out to be a bad employee and stop me from seeking government assistance, luckily I had proof of everything and was able to provide this to Centrelink and they saw right through his lies. 

Company is very stingy the staff whom are there are very condescending and rude. The company doesn’t pay legal wage awards, doesn’t pay public holiday rates and treats youth employees like worthless trash, DO NOT work here you will only end up being stressed, unwell and underpaid.

First day I didn't get a break as it was too busy, I worked from 9-30 to 4pm, which caused me to have tunnel vision.  My favorite part about the job was that it was really good to talk to all the kids and their parents and grandparents which helped me gain my confidence. I learnt how to calm customers down who were annoyed about the 2 hour wait on the first day. Manager was kinder towards the last couple of days. The hardest part of the job was standing in the same spot for severeal hours sometimes with out a break or only a small break which is physically demanding on your body leaving you with back pain and leg pain. I took medicine to stop the pain which made my days stuffing bears more barrable.  Because of the position of the pipe where the stuffing comes out from, you hard to bend and  that tended to hurt my back. Overall it was an interesting experience but I don't think I would have lasted anymore days. I loved that we got to go home early on some of the days.

If you are a young person looking for work, don't take any opportunities with this business. The boss cuts dodgy corners, doesn't pay extra on public holidays and lies about laws around it, is unsympathetic towards employees that are sick, has terrible communication skills, is extremely rude and childish, and treats youth terribly. I worked there for almost 2 months and I'm glad I resigned. He never gave me a contract, his reasoning because "he doesnt trust young people to stay" I wonder why? And after my resignation on medical terms he cut a week off my pay (which he did to another young person who left shortly before me) and withheld sending my pay to me for a week because I had "an attitude" In my resignation notice. An excuse to take advantage of young people. I am yet to actually recieve any pay in my bank account, i'm heavily doubting. The overall energy of the office is depressing, its dusty, the staff are condescending and rude, especially the boss who repeatedly yells at everyone. Oh, and he has a cease and desist from Build-A-Bear themself! Just do not work here. It's Stingy.

I had a temporary job at Stufflers for a week, as it came to my town during the holidays. The manager was absolutely horrible, she gave me and the 3 other girls, absolutely no training as to what we were meant to do. She completely threw us in the deep end when there were about 200 people to serve. She continually treated me like rubbish and yell at me and call me names, until a customer complained to her about her work and then she would put on a big scene about how sorry she was. DO NOT WORK HERE. It is not worth it.

I was looking forward to working here but was disappointed rude manager expects you to learn everything in a short amount of time quite angry and mean only cares about makeing as much money as possible doesnt care about the wellbeing of workers says is paying $14 then will change the amount lower if he      wishes.seems it

The working hours could be anything from 3-6 hours, and the work may be a bit repetitive after a while. However, being able to interact with the colleagues customers, the children often keep things from being dreary and dull. The workplace was a fun environment and not too stressful. 

I worked here for a week, it was alright but the long hours and little to no breaks sucked. The hourly rate was good for someone looking for a litttle extra money but it wasn’t much. I would recommend this to someone who doesn’t have anything to do on the holidays.

the work was pretty straightforward and the co-workers were good friendly store for great pay for the 5 days of working the hours changed everyday as the manager would choose when we would end our shift.

I have worked at Stufflers for several shopping centres over the past few years and have loved it! It’s a very fast-paced environment but so exciting to to see the kids and parents with happy faces all-day for the entire week.
