As Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Sales & Marketing, my core duties include extensive diary and travel management, juggling conflicting deadlines and prioritising urgent matters, scheduling and organising internal meetings and external events, collating board reports and monthly divisional reports.

Although my role is primarily to support the General Manager of Sales & Marketing, I do extend similar administrative support to a team of Managers within the Sales & Marketing division. 


Unfortunately, the management team has declined over the last 5 years and the support has also declined.  A lot of consultants have left the company due to high stress levels and lack of management support and understanding of the tasks at hand.  The teams are full of great people that work hard.  Within the team, the individuals involved support one another.  Management has fallen short with respect to support and knowledge of the roles of those they manage.  

Working at STL was very good at the beginning, the people were good, and were helpful and supportive. Was able to study and become a qualified Conveyancer while working and then able to move into the position of a Conveyancer. Management changed and there was a down fall in the team specifically. there was no understanding of what was best for the client and it became more about it better for the company. The culture wasn't good, no one enjoyed being there.

A very lovely place to work. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. I have made a life-long friend out of my short term employment.
I have gained administration experience, which has been very beneficial to me and my future employment opportunities.

State Trustees, under the previous CEO, was profitable and had a fantastic culture which is sadly no longer recognizable.

Good company to work for, average salary.
They provide a good work life balance and breed a fair and enjoyable working cloture.
There are not too many opportunities for career progression.

Overall a good organisation to work for.

I enjoyed my time at State Trustees.
There was opportunities to learn other parts of the business as well as my role. The majority of the staff were friendly and approachable.

Lots of support, good people. No central office makes commuting a bit of a pain for those whose don't live near one of the urban or regional offices. Very flexible with regards to work from home.
