Stamford Plaza Hotel

The work culture is one of absolute zero trust and even at the highest hotel management level, there is zero empowerment to manage. The email culture is reply to all and expectations is to reply very quickly.
The transition in corporate office to a new country manager is not positive, reflecting the poor experience and leadership style of the new individual.

As far as Management goes, never worn here. They have no duty of care. They say they care but you are overworked and under staffed. The Hotel is badly maintained and dirty for a supposed 5 star. Great location and big suites but terribly outdated. It feels old and cold. And staff “meals” are just limited sandwiches for lunch AND dinner. It would be the last hotel I’d ever suggest to work at. 

I feel they are exploiting overseas workers by minimum pay 19 dollars paying them only by the room they clean not taking into consideration how messy room maybe. Expecting fast paced work but also perfection. Move beds and dust. 

Definatly need to look after there staff,be more willing to 
listen to new ideas.Unfortunatly you are treated as fodder to be replaced
as needed. Not willing to change. (mainetance)

Working in Stamford is a challenge for me but dealing with obstacles and moving ahead is fun. I got to learn many things in this hotel. I got many experiences which will be very helpful for me in my future life as well.

It has been a great place to work with the culture as well as the working environment. Growth and the opportunities are provided on a wide scale. Team work is always required here and training is provided to grow better.

Can not be much fun to work with
Always working on strict standards and timelines
Always doing a high turnover for staff
Always working overtime
Van be overwhelmed with the work loads of time

poor management 
always low staffing issues
poor rostering time table 
hard to request days off due to low staff
doesnt hire enough staff for the job required

I learned alot of stuff from Stamford which I thank them despite so many issues but still Thank you.

I am sure some stamford like here in NZ would be different in Australia.

Very friendly,  sociable people.  Work hard, generous to help others. Make a explanation to learn at new work place. Excellent learning creative experiences.
