This business does not care about it's employees at all. Staff are overworked, underpaid and unappreciated. The company expects staff to work outside of their paid hours to get work done that is impossible to do during work hours. Most stores have the Manager working by themselves most of the day and barely provide a lunch cover so they need to do all of the stock, merchandising, cleaning, paperwork, mannequins and vm changes by themselves all while providing excellent customer service to every single customer. Expectations are unrealistic and almost everyone who works in any of the stores is unhappy.

This store is popular with customers and there is a constant flow of them, some times in great numbers when there are sales on.

This was a difficult store to learn in, because we were under a lot of pressure with customers.

Management were reviewing the quality of staff in my time there, looking towards making improvements.

Workplace culture was not as focussed upon results as I was, and I think this was a weakness.

This store was a very demanding store physically, and you always felt that we could not keep up with the workload.

The customers were definitely the most enjoyable part of the job, and we had some fantastic regulars who enjoyed making their social visits to the store.

I found the interaction with customers on a daily most important as well as letting them choose their product and being able to give them positive feedback and advice on their purchase and sales promotions.  I found working with managers with more experience and product knowledge was most rewarding and took as much information from them that they conveyed as it allowed me to step into their role whilst they were on leave. SFG had an excellent workplace culture where you could work in other stores under that brand.
The hardest part of the job was during a lull in business confidence but being able to change the store around to suit sales sometimes offset that lull.
The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the smiling face of customers with their purchase

SFG started as a welcoming open friendly environment/ workplace when I first started at the age of 15. it taught me life values like money, responsibility, and a good work ethic. Daily roles for me included customer service, opening and closing the store, stock and cash handling, small administration duties like banking and the keep of important documents. I was the youngest basically in the whole company but we all got along great. The most enjoyable part or task I would undertake would definitely have to be merchandising I have an eye for detail and love fashion. I overall enjoyed my 4 years with SFG and thank them for everything they did for me.

I worked specifically for City Chic and while i enjoyed my time employed there it is only because i had good coworkers. there is lots of pressure to up-sell everything even to customers that you know cannot afford it as they keep track of you units per sale and your average sales amount, if it is below their company standards you must write your regional manager at the end of each week explaining why and some of your benefits get cut which is hard because you must always wear what they have in stock and it can be hard to afford to do so without your benefits.

I very much enjoyed my job at Katies.
Every day could be different, you had to learn to cope with whatever arose. You had to plan your day as best you could and be adaptable to any problems that may also occur.
Work with management as best you can.
Work with good people that understand what needs to be done.
Never having enough wages allocated for the amount of work that sometimes has to be done.
Meeting the different customers that came into the store every day.

SFG have taught me a huge amount and I have developed into a better Manager. A lot is expected in this role which has made me now a very experienced Manager. I have learnt more in this job than any other. I am a team player with the understanding of managerial responsibilities. I have great time manabedment and can lead my team in the right direction which runs my store like clockwork. Time here has been worthwhile but now I need a new fresh challenge.

Family oriented working environment where everyone look out for each other, not just all about getting the job done, but making sure it is done with pride and fun, The most fun and enjoyable part of the job is no day is a typical day or the same as the other, the day and people are dynamic.

New Seasons fashions.. Loyalty club.. TV advertised which makes it more known.
Loved working here, was only casual/part time tho..
No advancement seen in the near future so decided to move on.
