You only had some members of your team help out with programs that actually care about the client/s. Even when most of management say they care for their workers I can assure you that is not the case when you talk to your fellow workers. It shows and even families have gone to other companies cause of the excuses this company makes due to the fact their not looking after either of them. The way I see it is you help out your employees and keep them happy then your clients will be happy. This company doesnt do that and are currently suffering for it. You tell yourself that you are staying cause the clients need you but so does your family and low hours or high hours, they will stress you out and put you under an anvil till you break. You hardly get family time or find time for hobbies.

Communication is left for something to be desired. Most of management won't get back to you till you push them. Only 2 out 6 or more managers would reply with haste. Shocking

The pay rate for casuals can go from $27-$28 per hour but as soon as you ask for PPT it goes way down to a measly $23 -$25 per hour. That's not enough to live in today's society. Other companies are paying well over this from $30 per hour and over and look after workers and clients/customers both. Even when you threaten to leave the company all they will do is take it up by a couple of $$ but when you take into consideration how your treated and how they mess around with your hours you then come to the conclusion that it's not worth it. Your worth more than that and deserved to be valued more.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. To stressful and they flat out exhaust you for little pay.

SCSS is great as a starting point when entering the industry because they will employ anyone just to have the staff numbers. 
Paid $26ph Casual, $21-$23 PPT and no room for professional development and moving forward in the company unless you are in the management clique. 
Colleagues dont turn up to shift, rostering expect you to do their job and find someone to cover shifts because smart people dont answer the multiple calls to work. Your own family comes second to SCSS clients and when they burn you out there is no support or guidance. Join the union and dont sign the flexibility agreement on the back page of your contract or you will be used and abused. 100hrs plus a fortnight is average, but no overtime paid. 

I learned that a place can still be run on values and ethics. Every client matters and staff are equally as important to this team. 
Human beings, working with human beings = things can and will be unpredictable at times.
As a Team Leader, I get staff thinking that they are going to come in and change the world, have a cruise supervisory job or come because the hourly rates are decent and penalty rates still exist. THIS place is about active support, walking alongside of the people we are privileged to support and working towards achieving goals (both for clients and staff).
I have been afforded great opportunities for career progression and could not ask for a more supportive management team who have a respect for the front line being the client experts.

if your looking into joining this company then I say NO DO NOT!!! Pays rubbish, staffs rubbish. Absolutely no work life balance. They rather staffs cater their lives for their company the. Worry about staffs personal needs instead. Lack of Staff, management just unorganised and unprofessional ! No manager will step down and show any empathy to staff. They show that they care but deeply don’t by the way they WANT to run things around like they are the BIG BOSS! and Pay was $28.41 P/H which was rubbish for the work People put in this company. They expect more from a staff like they are managers themselves and does not help when staffs are in need of help. Staffs get left stranded of 4-6 STRAIGHT SHIFTS!!!! 

 Some of the customers should have been in a care facilities specially set up for dementia or at least specialist carers properly trained.  Terrible Management,  there was little support, little guidance, mostly uncontactable esp in a crisis or weekend, terrible training didn't exist after the initial intake was over.  Lots of deep end shifts, sending you in to a shift and never been there before, no info, no background, in some instances totally unprepared and in a few instances dangerous with violent customers who should never have had female workers. Some teams were ok but mostly not.  Customers needs were disorganised or neglected, the houses were not suitable in some instances and not adapted to the meet the needs of the customers.

If you are under a good CM and TL then it can feel as though you are well supported, but the pay is low compared to the expectations put on you. Dealing with complex needs for low award rates is a disgrace. You can get above award rates working for a not for profit, SCSS is a FOR profit company and will avoid paying for everything where possible (including paying staff OT and much needed updates to make placement feel homely for YPs). Everything feels like an uphill battle and when things are going well it feels like management look for ways to increase stress levels! It is a very high stress place to work and it isn’t because of the clients 

You are worth so much more! 
SCSS supports a toxic culture, when you raise concerns and advocate for yourself and clients you are punished. Yet lazy and incompetent people are let to run free. 
Management is depressing, they look as though they have had their souls sucked out. They have no respect for their staff or clients. Their all in one app is a nightmare! And doesn’t work half the time Oh don’t forget your shift note or they will refuse to pay you! 

What once was a decent place to work for is now a laughing stock of the town!

I am basically being paid minimum wage to be sworn at every shift. The only reason I took the job was for experience so I could move on to a better paying company. The only good thing about working here is that they put you in one house so you are able to build rapport and provide continuity of care to the young people. The CM’s delegate EVERYTHING to the frontline staff, so we are constantly the “bad guys” when having to implement any changes to the YP’s routines or bad news that have come from management.

Minimal effort was given to making sure you understood everything that and was made to feel comfortable with your duties.

Typical day? Everyday varied and you had to chase further shifts to fill your week.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Advertised jobs for several suburbs in Western Sydney for ongoing work with  lots of hours/ shifts ,after completion of mandatory training, only two hours shift they have,  poor communication from service coordinator. These large companies are all about $$$$

Poor communication between staff and service coordinator.

These large companies is all about profiting, too many micro managers, toxic much .
