Management is extremely unorganised and will overwork employees, in particular giving them tasks they are not responsible for as they are always understaffed due to their high turnover rates. Those in higher roles are very rude to lower level employees, in particular was always hassled by the IT manager for mundane things like going to fill up my water bottle during work. Staff are micromanaged despite receiving insufficient training and direction. Was not trained and was expected to figure out tasks with unclear direction. Employees last at this organisation for 4-6 months maximum. Very traditional work environment, not flexible to employees needs such as kids/study/illness. Work is unenjoyable. Very low staff morale, I often spent the entire day not talking to anyone as staff relationships and collaboration are not encouraged. Although work colleagues are nice people, most of them left. No staffroom, staff are expected to share facilities with students. Monthy pay through cheques and have to wait 1-2 weeks to process, essentially waiting 6 weeks for payment. 

If you are the right fit for the role, and you have great work ethics, the boss will definitely appreciate you here and wants to try their best to keep you. The work is demanding, and it is a lot of pressure, but they also give you a lot of support when you reach out for help. Sometimes you feel you have a lot of freedom to decide HOW to meet the target. But if you don't have enough initiatives, and not know how to push your way through, Or, most importantly, if you don't actually fit in the role, you will not enjoy working here. Every business has a budget. And every company has a lot of space to improve. Nowhere is perfect. Someone has to realize this point.  So I would say It is definitely a place for people who like challenges, and who believe they can grow and improve together with the organization. 
I have been working here for years and seen many people come and go. The leftovers are definitely the ones with very good abilities and work ethics.

Working at Southern Cross Education Institute has allowed me to gain experience, learn and develop new skills. SCEI offers a culture of great work ethics and the opportunity to work with staff members on different areas of the College. The people are friendly and willing to go that extra step to assist and support you in all capacities of your work role. I believe SCEI has created a great learning environment for students both Internationally and domestically to gain new knowledge and skills and make new friends along the way. SCEI has Trainer and Assessors who are passionate, experienced and educated in their chosen field and this is demonstrated in the course delivery. I would recommend working for SCEI if the opportunity arose!

Great professional career development, agile work environment, no macro management as long as work is done to the highest standard. 

We are reminded day in day out that building our students skill, knowledge and attitude is the priority of all priorities. For a Vet professional it is the most challenging but at the same time exciting work place. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is when having your students graduating with great knowledge and skills. Nothing is joyful more than seeing your student in a hospital working as a nurse, or in a corporate environment working as professional staff or in community services working as a social worker or community sector manager.

This is my second job in RTO sector, and no doubt I am enjoying it. During my tenure here, I am confident to say that I have learned a lot regarding my job and role. 
Initially it was really stressful and time consuming, I thought about quitting as don't want to go bonkers.  Then, I had a epiphany when management lend me a hand and provided me needed coaching. 
I can confidently say that SCEI management style put lot of trust in you to be independent, and that is scary for lot of people. 
I am enjoying my career growth here and would recommend to everyone to see it from their own eyes.

Top notch leadership with professional staff comprised of multicultural workforce. 

Management have an open door policy making themselves available to everyone. They are proactive in solving the issue. 

Great harmony among staff members; being a nurse coordinator the training delivery is big responsibility and challenging however with the spirit of team work and inclusive company culture I manage my work easily and successfully.

I am grateful that most of the action plans that has been presented to the  Management as been supported and indeed was able to bear fruitful results.  Both the Marketing Manager and CEO acknowledges and give rewards to my hard work. 

What I like most about this company is the flexibility they are giving and this gives me an advantage in reaching KPIs.   

Inter department communication needs some polishing but have been dealt with accordingly.

Worked in the Business development there and I loved working there, as it gave me insight about my own abilities. Although the KPI demand and sales target are really high and very high pressure from management. 

But once a target was achieved, it was just an awesome journey while working with some of the best sales guys. 

Fortunately, this job opened doors for other opportunities and I can say that initially it was tough for me, but it went well for me later on .

SCEI is amazing place to work, I have been working as trainer and have come across many on-going opportunities. SCEI has co-operative and friendly management team which eases workloads and pressure. There have been no issues in terms of interacting or giving feedback as employee. SCEI has always welcomed suggestions and ensured to implement it where required.
