Solo Resource Recovery

An atypical day commences at 4.30am and is often for 10 hours, in a great team of 30 men. We all interract extremely well via CB and in the yard itself. Loads of banter..
The day passes extremely quickly due to being extremely spacially aware due to navigation thru inner suburban streets, some of which are extremely tight and parked out with cars, low hanging lines and trees overhanging, 4.3m is big in the burbs.
I enjoy the reaction from residents, who seem to be appreciative of our service (some may be difficult tho), especially when they see a woman driving such a big vehicle.
I love my job and I love driving trucks, I believe that I am extremely proficient and so do my bosses!

Very arrogant to work for they do not care about your safety they just run you into the ground for very low hourly rate I have no family respect for anyone with family expect you to give up your family and run you into the ground and then they'll offload you as quick as anything

The place is bad they don't care about any thing just if you can work when they ask if you say no they don't like it they do hold it aganist you the trucks are not that good and it is allways a bandaid fix

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Solo Resource Recovery in Adelaide. I made some life long friends during my time at Solo. Sadly being a small company there is not a lot of opportunities to grow and the salary is quite low in administration. But the culture and team in Admin was small and close knit which helps to settle in quickly.

Solo expected their drivers to be able to spend as much time at work until the job is done.  The salary for professional drivers is inadequate.  Some time you don't get paid on the right day and this causes numerous problems to families.

Worse company for harassment and bullying. Unprofessional management with a lot of favoritism. Can not hold a confidential conversation with management or staff ( as a team leader) without the conversation being repeated and exaggerated.

early start late finish every day and use to it now work never stops so the day flies and if it paid more would have stayed. 
pretty much Know every were between Sydney and Newcastle now and very good at google maps and ubd books.

I had a very positive experience when I worked for them. Then be our contract was taken over by another company. Which meant we started from scratch again with everything sick leave holidays and no long service

Worst pay, management they to find ways to dock your pay.
Your Pay query never answered straight.they tend to over promise and then forget
Only thing keeping me in solo is the great crew.



you day can be very interesting one moment its total flat out then next could be easy you get interact with a whole lot of different types of problems and issues and figure out ways to tackle them in a day to day bases
