Operate packing machines, assist fitters with repairs, forklift or relief Co ordinator when required.
I became an expert on the machines in my department and could operate all machines across site.
You could always discuss any issues with the management team, very big on safety and team work.
Working with very old machines ( some 40 years+) and still making production targets.
Having fitters and sparkies come to me for information and assistance when working on the machines and of cause the friendships made whilst working with many of the same people over the last 19 years.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It really is not what people think, it’s an awful place to work, bad management in warehouse

Work place bullying  nasty self absorbed managers

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hard too many rules about trivial things

This is a very busy position, and although there is never a quiet moment, the workload is manageable. Visitors/staff are great to work with as they are always friendly and helpful. Management is supportive and easy to talk to.

Typical duties include picking coles/woolworths orders using a double deep reach forklift, Inbounding pallets into the racking, hand unloading cartons in trailers and containers onto a boom/conveyor, Hand picking orders and loading trucks.

I like to work hard and keep busy in a productive and professional manner.

This is a very fast paced environment where there is no care for workers just getting product out the door. machinery alway breaking down and no parts to fix. Donot hurt your self .life expectancy here is for the young .good money but you realy have to work extra hard for it .very stressful environment and bosses dont care.

Picking orders,loading and unloading trucks,taking phone orders,ordering stock.-We .had a small team of three who worked well as a team.-Loved eating the out of date chips.lol

Great job which had a load of growth to move upwith promotions many courses and included as part of the company. Wage was pretty good with a lot of benifits.

shift work gives you a variety of jobs and the supervisers keep you rotated. the staff are all helpful and the time goes fast

My job was ok at Smith chips, was really looked after in the warehouse, miss the place, people and the work.
I would return back there if I had the chance
