These guys advertise for customer salesperson online and get you into a group interview to see how desirable of an employee you are. They then claim to pay you a base salary that infact is never paid unless you hit target sales which I was misinformed of, they make you pay to use their equipment every WEEK on top of getting the most underpaid salary you could receive for the amount of hours you work. 9-5, 5 days a week and receive too little to be working so long doorknocking in the middle of no where all morning and afternoon. Some staff are nice and really make you feel apart of a good environment and seems like a really desirable job up until you complete your training. Do not recommend, scummy people, corrupted business.

A typical day here was unpredictable, either turbulent or dull. Often I would have to handle highly abusive customers, and an unforgiving AHT standard that not many were able to uphold whilst also upholding the expected customer service and rapport. Management was helpful to the best of their ability within company limitations, yet completely inflexible. Even with my personal limitations in physical and mental health, I was unable to find a means to work there and still maintain my health due to completely inflexible contracts and a severe lack of understanding. The most enjoyable part of the job was the camaraderie between coworkers.

Overall a good place to work. The employees are inclusive and the team leaders are very accommodating. They are generous with breaks and has a great atmosphere. However the hours are long and tiring. They do give you 2 weeks of in-depth training and will support you on the floor for a period of time which is very helpful. You are free to ask as many questions as you like without feeling belittled. It's a great first time job or a job in-between finding one you enjoy. However, if you wish to advance your career in Simply Energy it is very hard to do so. If you enjoy working at call centres then I would recommend working here.

For 1 year, I was employed as a Part-Time Retail Assistant working on the busy shop floor, serving large numbers of customers every shift, buying/ordering stock and individually manage the store. I was always on-time, did not miss any shifts, and was held in high regard by the shop owners, my colleagues as well as customers. Due to the closer of the store, I was made redundant by the store owners.

As a sales representative, my duties were quite interesting to performed all the tasks within time frame and to provide the feedback about the experience with clients to those who were working under me at that time.At that time, I developed strong communication skills and leadership which gave me the opportunity as a team leader as well.

Simply energy was something interesting I learnt a lot about electricity. My favourite bit was we had a great work environment had a table tennis and it was a really productive workplace the motto was work hard play harder I loved the people but hated the stress that my old job brought me so I had to leave for my wellbeing.

Well,it was an enjoyable work experience as it taught me the versatile experience about how to work under pressure and how to configure the problems which occurred in the management of colleagues while cooperating.All in all. it was a hardest as well as educational as well.

I really enjoyed working for simply and I'm disappointed I am no longer with them. the environment were tough and the work was physically and emotionally exhausting. but the pay was good and the managers were forgiving.

I've learnt a lot about conflict resolution, How to keep calm and professional whilst handling difficult situations. And how to not let customers get under your skin.

Abusive customers can be difficult but Team Leaders and co-workers are supportive and friendly.

The job was great, staff were always lovely. Team members are super encouraging and help you build self confidence. They're the best at support also. 

Downside would be the type of job it was, the constant walking around having to go to different customer homes and what not.
