Everyday was different, meeting new people allowed me to gain a better understanding on how to deal with people and serve them the best way I can. I also became more confident. I liked working there as the atmosphere was always positive and I gained more skills in customer service and learnt more computer skills for future references. However, there were challenges such as when it would be winter and the business would become more quieter, this only influenced us to work harder and promote more of our services so that people would feel encouraged to come. Personally, at first I found the register difficult to use however within time I got the hang of it and it became easier. Another challange was committing to several customers at once, although this lead to  my current skills of being good under pressure. Overall, It was a great experience and the workers became family which I felt was very healthy.

Shine has really established that its wanting to evolve its offering and standout in the industry and i'm excited for the steps being taken towards realising this. While we may not communicate it in the best ways, and this could be down to a new exec team, there's some really great wheels turning that are making this the up and coming best place to work.

Morning teas/office drinks are great and a good chance to meet with people around the office. The culture is very relaxed and welcoming, there's no 12 hour workday culture expectations which is awesome. While the salary could certainly use some development in some areas, I know this is something they've realised and are working to address instead of ignoring it. There's a plan for a lot of the woes and i'm looking forward to those plans being realised and the place becoming amazing.

Had some good points for a short period (like great mat leave entitlements - but they were reduced a couple years after being introduced and after they won an award for it.... so not so great now). Micromanagement to the extreme. There's no trust to just let lawyers do their job. Expect to be asked for a medical certificate to collect your sick child from childcare - despite always doing extra hours every other day. 
Management is nasty creating a toxic culture.
They're still chasing other firms for their leftover work so the work itself can be tough yet boring.   On the flipside it feels good at times to represent people others have rejected. But don't be fooled that this is Shine standing up for the little guy - it's just all the work they can get in any State besides Qld. 

I have found that my growth and development has always been a priority at Shine.  One of the things that sets our business apart is that we have a purpose-built training facility and deliver training programs that focus on both personal and professional development, for all staf, regardless of their position within the firm.  This allows our most senior lawyers to build strong relationships with the most junior admin assistant, something I think sets Shine apart from others.  
This is a business who embraces change, tries to do things differently and prides itself on client care.  The team is made up of some of the most compassionate, hardworking and dedicated lawyers I have ever met.  This passion is infectious.

Every day is different.... and busy, but I still manage to leave the office at a reasonable time.

The organisation is on an exciting journey of improvement in all areas. This means that my colleagues and I have opportunities to add so much value through our expertise as we launch new initiatives and put in more examples of best practise.

The pace can be frantic at times, with ideas and requests coming from all directions at times. If you like, and are good at what you do and want to use your skills to improve and make a difference and can have a laugh, it's the place for you.

Staff were great to work with very friendly and supportive to assist me when needed.

The manager was very approachable and appreciative of my work.

It was a fast paced environment needed me to use my multi-tasking abilities.

I felt working with some of the staff I made friendships that I still have now after my temp role was completed.

I wanted to have a good experience at this company but just didn't.  The management is poor. Lunch is frowned upon. Very poor training, all female dominated staff, very horrible and speak poorly of other law firms (I.e gossip a lot). Didn't like working there at all.  Was promised things as part of my package and never received them.  Wouldn't recommend it at all. 

Wouldn’t recommend working here. There are some great people who work here, but the company overall is tainted from the top down. The focus is so heavily on profits that quite clearly the firm is a business, rather than a services firm in providing help to injured individuals. Any compensation obtained is heavily reduced by the excessive legal fees charged. Simply put, don’t put here if you actually want to help people. 

This is the most ridiculous place to work. They rip off there clients to make profits. The toxic and narcissistic management, unfair wages, unfair hours, preach flexibility but there is none. 
No one is happy, every one is quite miserable all day every day 
Please do yourself a favour and do not work at this ridiculous company. About all you’ll get is free snacks besides that you’ll leave with questions how they even still operate. 

Remuneration is laughably poor for the expected hours/output. Management couldn't care any less about staff and only look at their own KPIs. I worked in supposedly one of the better teams at Shine and it was still the worst experience I have had working in law by a long shot. Could not recommend people stay away highly enough.
