Enviroment is different compare to work at cafes. People are different, duties are more responsile than  in my previous work places. Management very efficient, profesional, friendly looking after staff, developing staff. 
Standing is the hardest part of the job, it is not hard but actually is just boring sometimes. 
Providing health and safety training for staff, reception duties and learning new things and also customer service that are the most enjoyable things at work

Screening passenger bag and doing body search, checking xray machines for baggages. I learned to deal with different kind of people.The management give us full support.It is a very safe environment to work. The hardest part of the job is when you hae passengers that doesn't want to obey the rules and regulation to enter the secured airport terminal and the most enjoyable part of the job is meeting and talking to passenger that came from different backgrounds.

Management will provide no support and takes multiple emails to respond, provides only minimal training to new starters, client will blame you for any thing that goes wrong and management will not back you up or have a back bone.  Have to check pay to make sure it is correct and if it is short hard to get it fixed. Securitas in a nut shell large multi national company, trying to get a foot in Australia but would struggle to run a bunnings BBQ 

Your experience working here may be largely dependent on the nature of the contract you work under. A similar position may pay significantly differently at different sites. It's much more customer service orientated than you might expect. Most situations require a balance between security and business. It requires a professional attitude and behavior.

Excellent company with a positive and balanced culture, high expectations from all staff at every level with exceptional benefits and rewards if you're willing to work hard.
Lots of support available should you need it but without being micromanaged.
I worked as a senior manager in the north on a prestigious retail contract for many years and enjoyed my time and career path immensely.

Verbally abused and disrespected by the Branch manager for following the chain of command while on my post. She offered me another position, but I needed a week to report to work caring for a sick elderly parent. I accepted the position. Four day later she took it away from me, to give to give to someone else. Implying that I was lying. A lot of favoritism and no respect for reliability and work ethics.

Spent many years working at a site I enjoyed (keep track of your time in- lost about 7 years history in branch computer). Professional work environment- more hospitality than security style. Left voluntarily with no extra benefits. Steady, easy work, basic pay comparable to most minimum-pay jobs or slighty better. Facilitating for starting out in the security field.

I worked as Supervisor for Securitas at a Data Center. The higher up management have no genuine care for guards. This was not obvious through not approving any leave, ongoing pay issues and a lack of empathy/ interest into employees. Do not waste your time with this company, headache upon headache. 

Back stabbing supervisors. Doesn't follow the hierarchy control approach when bringing harm to their colleagues and team members. Very client centric and just like many other security companies, officers are just numbers to them. 

Dreadfully underpaid for a highly stressful, dog eat dog work environment full of work colleagues who think they are all that and more. A horrible place to work with no rewards or recognition for hard work. The pay is AWFUL and so underpaid it’s a joke
