A typical day depends entirely on your department (i was in ticketing). this included selling tickets, start/end of day banking procedures, meet and greet, general assistance, and a lot of communication with people of all cultures.
i learned a lot about communication, but also about general business operations as this was my first job.
management is pretty good, they rotate staff well for breaks and get to know each and every one of their staff as well as paying well particularly with awards.
coworkers were mostly also christmas casuals like myself, so were similar in age and experience to me. the older, more experienced staff were always willing to assist where needed.
the biggest challenge was, apart from being s first job, overcoming significant cultural barriers particularly with language.
the most enjoyable part was the fact that i got to meet so many peoples and be a part of what was a great experience for most customers.

Toxic management who micromanage and bully you into quitting. I worked there for 4 years and you quickly notice how fast they filter through staff. The only good thing about the job is the team members, but the team leaders and especially the manager of my team were horrific. Also the Management lie in order to not pay you money and bonuses you were owed. 
If you're only wanting to work here for a short amount of time, then sure it's not bad. But after several months you'll see just how toxic this workplace is. 
A plus is they give you free counselling, shame they're too proud to realise they're the reason why their staff need counselling in the first place. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Terrible place to work for. Don’t regret much of the things that I do in life but working for these people is one of those few ones.

The people who runs the joint are the most stressful experience you can come across as a worker 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. Very toxic. It sticks like tar. Damages everything

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful the moment you clock in. Un organised and a lot of bullying

- Guide and encourage visitors to vote for the Sculpture Exhibition
- More confident to communicate with strange people
- Time management and teamwork, flexible
- Get to know more people and experience the multi-culture from both staffs and visitors
- Handle everything without break time when don't have enough volunteers
- Meet new experienced people and gain more valuable world, work and cultures, people and have chances to look through the exhibition with better view about the artworks

I worked in the admin building at Scenic World and the team I worked with were great. It was a very relaxed and friendly culture. I had a great work / life balance. However, I found upper management, particularly the head of HR to be a bully right from the start of the interview process. Not a nice experience at all. I still have nightmares about my experience. Such a shame as everything else there was pretty good. 

Great people to work with always had a laugh, always had something to do whether it be cleaning or helping customers or other departments.

I learnt great customer service skills and computer skills.
the management could  be better but always helpful

hardest part of the job is dealing with the difficult customers but I was taught very well how to deal with them professionally and calmly.


Poor work place culture, unrealistic expectations of employees.

Management very focused on maximising profit at the expense of their employees.

Scenic World promotes itself as a family owned business interested in supporting its local community but my experience was of a poorly run organisation masquerading as a local business interested in supporting its community. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately my contract ended at Scenic World but my time spent there was a very positive and rewarding experience. There is such open and honest communication between every department and this makes for a great place to work.

Always busy and I learnt how to deal with language barriers and cultural differences. I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and working in such a large team. Sometimes when it got very busy, I found it stressful but I was able to work under the pressure.

I really enjoyed working here, it was very well organised and they gave you ample breaks with very good pay. the hours were frequent but irregular. i highly recommend it as a first job to get used to a working environment - very fast paced and demanding.
